It goes through the Carnival Hub app. So even though you didn’t pay for a wifi package you can still view the menus.

There is a Heald video where he has a person explain this.  It isn't thru the app, and you don't need wifi.  The scanning is done thru your camera and it will pop up the menu.  (You know where to go for John's videos 😏.)  Its the one called Walkies, Take a Look at the Casino.  At 13 min he starts explaining the Hub app, at around 15 min they explain how to use the QR codes.  No app, camera only.

Are they having trivia, and if so, how is it working (where is it held, is there a capacity limit, etc.)?

Haven't read through all the comments, so in case I'm repeating someone, sorry!

I believe someone has already posted that there was trivia, but your other questions were not answered.

I remember one Carnival cruise in which the assistant cruise director set up trivia as a contest between the men and the women. By the end, not only were the teams large, but there was also a large audience rooting on the members of the team composed of their sex. BTW, we men won all 4 contests; the person running said he had never before had one team sweep all the contests.

Emuster was so easy! Went right to room watched video and then went to muster area to check in.  Very smooth. Guests have until sail time to complete.  We sailed about 30 minutes late. Not sure if that was due to people not completing it in time or what.

I loved this compared to the traditional muster

I want to thank you very much for doing all this.  You have brought joy  to our gang.  We have 4 scheduled thru the end of year and we all had concerns .  Now we are sittin on ready and  rocking on go.

And I am very happy with the new muster procedures.   I still remember the days when we had to put the life vest on in the heat.  Then move with the herd to go put it away.    Now if we can all keep this moving forward it will be great.

Again thanks for all the info, it is almost like being there.

Lol - Havana cabana .  How the heck do I edit my post??

Do you see the three dots in the upper right. Click on that and edit is one of the functions that comes up, though there is a limited time in which you can edit your post.

They asked to see our vaccination card at check in twice.

Are they actually looking up and verifying any of the info on the car or just taking a look? Seems like it would take an eternity to get everyone through check-in if they were looking up every car on state's website, but also seems like just taking a look at the card could lead to plenty of unvaxxed people slipping through the cracks.

They just looked at the card, checked the name, etc. did not verify anything as far as I could tell.

Just to add my two cents even though previous posters have done a great job of describing life on the Vista. Checkin was easy. They barely glanced at our vaccine cards. We loved eMuster—super easy. Dining room service has been very slow but we know they’re trying to get their groove back. lol

Casino has been fairly crowded and a lot of fun. Most tables still at $5 minimum. They have the hot seat drawings, etc just like before. Bar service in the casino has been great. We watched NBA finals in the sports bar last night and it was very crowded in there—crowd was definitely going for Phoenix if anyone’s interested in that. Sorry, Milwaukee fans. I can definitely feel a difference being below capacity, there’s plenty of room to move around.

Earlier this week I was the only one on the serenity deck for awhile—talk about serene. The only drawback so far is that a lady in a scooter ran over my foot by the omelette station. It’s bruising up but I’m gonna keep drinking. 🙂 It’s so good to be back on a cruise.
