Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted July 15, 2021 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2021 We probably won't here about that until a day before/after the sail date. 1
Oldsweets Posted July 15, 2021 Author #3 Share Posted July 15, 2021 Humm I would have thought John H would have given them out given the Cruise is closed out for new bookings. Thanks though

Thanks though The bookings have been closed for awhile. I don’t believe I’ve ever heard any specific numbers before the sail dates. I’d just expect we’ll be sailing somewhere between 60-70% full capacity.

Thanks though If he ever gives out numbers, it is right before or as they sail. That way the numbers are "final". But as has been pointed out, knowing the new-sailing numbers, relative capacity, etc would be valuable info for CCL's competitors, so may not be as public as often has been in the past. 1
Moviela Posted July 15, 2021 #6 Share Posted July 15, 2021 The actual numbers are confidential for competitive and financial reporting reasons. The only time numbers are released for single voyages is for advertising and promotional purposes.
TNcruising02 Posted July 15, 2021 #7 Share Posted July 15, 2021 I doubt even Carnival has solid numbers at the moment.
Rare WhaleTailFlCruiser Posted July 15, 2021 #8 Share Posted July 15, 2021 Probably going to be around 70% capacity, That is what carnival has been averaging for these first few cruises.

Thanks though He never gives out numbers more than a few days before a sailing. If we hear anything it will be in two weeks. He has said posting all of their numbers publicly isn't a good idea but maybe he will for the first sailing.

I seem to recall many CD's coming over the PA systems in the past giving specific stats on the passenger count/breakdown.

This is 75% of double occupancy and 60% of max capacity which is what the other Carnival ships that have sailed have been going out at. Thanks though We just booked a balcony on deck 11 today so they must have reopened reservations. There were quite a few cabins to choose from on their web site. jperry2011 Posted July 18, 2021 #13 Share Posted July 18, 2021 Oddly enough the reservations are back open for the July 31st cruise with alot better casino deals than what I've already booked under. 1,000 funplay 200 OBC free drinks everywhere... How do I go about getting the better deal? Or should I even bother being this close to the cruise?
Bxmt54 Posted July 21, 2021 #14 Share Posted July 21, 2021 Our friends booked yesterday on the 7/31 cruise and the reservationists told them all of the casino offers had been used and the ship would be at 50% capacity. I get the feeling no one will really know anything until the ship sails. Everything else seems to be speculation.

I just rebooked or changed my room with a great casino deal at 5pm yesterday. 50% would be awesome.

Rare WhaleTailFlCruiser Posted July 21, 2021 #17 Share Posted July 21, 2021 I really want to book the July 31st sailing but my work would murder me since I am already going on a B2B on the 21st and 28th sailings.
TNcruising02 Posted July 21, 2021 #18 Share Posted July 21, 2021 I can't wait to hear from people on the first sailing. My cruise is just a month away and it doesn't seem real.
