Whom can I contact??

I am asking for help not a discussion on vaccination/non-vaccination opinions.  We booked a star class suite for this November before all these covid mandates for non-vaccinated cruisers. Such as additional insurance, extra test expense non spa or casino access ect.  I want to cancel cruise but they will only give me a FCC for the deposit due to a suite.  I feel RCCL has changed the product I purchased and would like my deposit back. I was on the phone for over 2 hours to no avail.  I was told If they feel like calling me back the escalation team might call me if they are not to busy but don't count on it. Does anyone have insight whom I can contact?  Thank you in advance for any help.

In order to cancel for a non-vaccinated status and receive a refund, you have to wait until the protocols are issued for your sailing. That might mean actually paying in full, before they are issued. If you cancel now, it will be an FCC for the deposit. And hopefully the terms well be more favorable for you on your next sailing. Things are changing pretty quickly.

What they said. Protocols for your ship and sailing have to be announced to get a refund. So far they have only been announced after final payment (that I know of, could be wrong).

The question is whether that policy will continue through November. No one can say. I'd be worried that if they keep up the vax rules that by November they might be "well you knew this before final so no cwc only".

Is there some medical reason you cannot take the vaccine? If there is,  that is a course of action.

Just some advice,  not trying to get personal.

Good luck!

No, the protocols for November have NOT been announced so they can’t/won’t say you should have known.  IF the current protocols are extended through November, THEN you can request a full refund but not until.

And it makes perfect sense that protocols are announced after final payment. Considering the time frame between final payment and the cruise sailing, as well as how fast things change, it would be senseless to issue protocols too far in advance. A protocol that is reasonable today might be very unreasonable next month.

Oh for sure that's what makes sense since things are changing so much. I'm just wary with the idea that 5 months after they first resumed sailing that Royal will be offering full refunds if you don't want to cruise. Because isn't that what they made the CWC for?

The new full refund program specifically targets the health protocols.  CWC can be used for ANY reason.

True, but CWC will only give you a cash refund of those funds in excess of the non-refundable portion of your deposit. Since suite deposits are non-refundable, the OP would be stuck with an FCC. I think that's what he was trying to negotiate with RCL about.

But where is this program explicitly spelled out? We know about it, but it's not that publicized that I can tell. If you go to their cruise restart FAQ it only mentions the CWC option. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq

This is the question they answer:

I have read the new health policies and procedures, and I am unsure at this time if I want to cruise. Can I change or cancel my booked cruise?

I, personally, would not count on anything but CWC being available in November.
