No one asked the most important question....do they have the soft serve ice machine on deck 15 pool area?

They have soft serve but it is manned by employees and only open limited hours. Limited flavors and toppings.

Did butchers cut diamond Benny. Outstanding. Delayed cruise until 9 local time. We're seeing two activities tonight. One vaccinated one quiz your activity.

I've never done butchers cut before so can't answer. I was very good.

As someone who is only familiar with NCL, could you tell me if there is any type of drink packages offered on the ship?  I looked online when I booked this ship but did not see anything offered.  Or is everything just sold per drink?  If possible, could you maybe list the prices of some common drinks, such as pina colada, strawberry margarita, mojito, etc.?  Thanks.

If I recall correctly, MSC does not presell drink packages for cruises of less than four nights duration. This would explain the absence of such from your pre-cruise purchase menu.

However, I think they sell a drink package, once under way. Be sure to check with the bar staff.

The do have packages.  I'm mobile now but I can post later.  Cheaper than NCL.

In way back to Miami. I think it turned out to be a great time. Even though we're both vaccinated I had no issues or complaints about wearing masks.

I feel msc did a great job after adding entry points to buffets.

Island was great, but sure why they left at noon today for such a short trip.

Negatives. No diamond chocolate about anymore for 4 day cruise. Still says four in site but they just changed.

Msc non alcoholic was better in Europe, it was very limited with mocktails.

Lastly, my son was disappointed that formula car and flight simulator we're broken. I bought pre paid so they could not refund but documented so hopefully no issues with refund via customer service.

All in all I was more than satisfied.

LOL, good luck with customer service getting a refund 🙂

Best bet is to dispute with CC...

Cruise lines seem to do more reductions in benefits than adding new ones. That chocolate was so good too!

Thanks for the report.  Was there any ask about insurance since you were vaxxed?

Interesting about F1.  We had package on Divinia but asked for refund since it was always broken.  I figured on the new ships it would work fine.  Seemed to be computer or windows based issue.

Once we showed our vaccine cards they gave us a wristband. Nothing afterwards. I noticed some signs today about vaccine area. I did not really investigate.

Did you prepay for fun pass?

Back in 2017 they had a set price per room unlimited movies and F1 and maybe bowling. We had six people in two rooms  and it was a good value back then especially compared to ala carte.  We could only buy on ship at that time but they have expanded what you can pre buy now.

As a YC guest--or indeed as a guest in any level of stateroom--I was not pleased by being charged for a movie that I viewed.  I knew that would happen.  But, I was not pleased by such "nickel and diming".

I should have clarified.  I meant the 4D movies at the special venue.  They were super cool.

I agree though.  At least even cheapo NCL gives free movies for suites.  MSC used to have even great tv but it has gone downhill.  They charge for in room movies for YC which is surprising.  Not that we are there for tv but something to do while DW getting ready for dinner.

The only reason that I bought the movie that I watched was because it was one that I had wanted to see when it was a First Run movie and it was withdrawn from my local theaters before I could see it.  I "surf" the various channels as I am getting ready for the evening.

What was the entertainment onboard like?  Shows?  (did they have Cirque?)

No cirque.

Magic show, liar skit, rock and roll. All pretty good. Late show for rock and roll and magic were vaccinated only.

These three we saw in Broadway theatre.

.

There were typical karaoke and quiz type shows, some for all some in pub, which was vaccinated only

What was the capacity/occupancy like? Are most people vaccinated? Masks required in Casino? Smoking allowed, in casino?

Due to the pandemic and the financial problems that it caused, some companies did not survive or had to  "evolve" (whatever that means from what I have read).  Cirque was one of those companies.  It's a shame.
