We were just in D702– the forwardmost of aft “standard” balcony cabins. It was a wonderful cabin. Please keep these huge fwd and aft Dolphin balconies a secret!

I can not get my bearings. Can someone confirm which deck is directly in front of the lifeboats on the last photo?

Majestic Princess Deck 8 (Emerald) looks over the top of the lifeboats.

Really, from the picture I would not say they looked over the lifeboats, more like a view of the lifeboats. Thank you for your help hockey-man I think I will avoid those cabins.

We will be in D704 on the Enchanted Princess transatlantic September 2022. Really looking forward to the large balcony on sea days.

Take pictures!  We're on the Dec. 29th sailing.

We're booked on Majestic Princess D411 deluxe balcony (class DA- deck 9 mid-ship) Alaska cruise. But, anyone know  if being  only 1 deck above lifeboats is an issue  seeing sea animals, etc? Also, this looks like slightly oversized  balcony being several  decks below the new sky bridge. Will that hamper any views from balcony? Any pictures out there? You know for years on R.C. used to see reviews on CruiseCritic  of specific searchable by cabin #, but not now. Am I looking wrong?. Thanks if anyone  can help.

Hockey Man - I just booked D702 and it said only twins cannot convert to queen bed.  Is that true?

Never had an aft cabin before (or forward for that matter), how was the motion? I've been told it's not as bad as Forward but it's also not mid-ship either so I'm curious how it felt

We definitely prefer aft to forward.

Mid aft often comes up well with pricing too.

We were blessed with good weather and seas on this particular voyage, so felt very little movement.

Mid ship is best with rough seas.  We normally do aft or aft facing and you will feel some vibration but not really bad.

Fwd is the roughest and if it’s really bad

you can feel it more hitting waves and hear the anchor when they lower it.  Some say they like it.

If you get seasick then stick with midship and low if you can like Caribe or Dolphin.

The other areas aren’t really bad, you just feel it more.  And if you have really rough seas, then you’ll feel it more of course.
