im not sure about any other sailings, but being extremely anal, i always check the status of my cruises. for all those booked on the getaway from athens on nov 24th,2021 to rome, the price just went down

Yes, I believe prices go up or down closer to sailing depending on demand.

well so far the prices went down on my cabin twice, and i have saved almost $2,000. i just thought i'd share the information with people taking this cruise

That's probably because they want to entice people to book so NCL can just cancel right before and hold peoples money.

well, regardless of their motive, i just wanted to alert people sailing on this cruise to check it out and save them some money. we booked a 2 bedroom ,and the price has gone down twice, saving me the almost $2000. 3 of us are traveling, and to save that much on a haven suite, i think  is a "sweet deal" pun intended.

 

from my perspective, this is a major enticement/incentive, since their generous 30% off sale have been going on and on and on since last nov.

 

ncl has my money anyway, we've had 6 cruises canceled since march 2020.

Is it a real sale? Check other competitor prices on a comparable cruise and you will know.

Is that the way it works... if room booked at $800pp and price drops to $600 can you get $200 refund?

Price has dropped twice on our cruises as well. Hopefully there will be a third. On the second price drop we also got double points.
