Keep up the great work posting, loving all the pictures and food porn. I'm not so sure about the over-pricing, @Jimbo5544 posted that initial bookings were real good. Also, the cruises are at limited capacity. That real estate will be more desirable at full capacity.

I just looked today at our MG Thanksgiving sailing. It would seem that Cabanas 1-12 (all of them!) are available to book.

Great pictures of the  Maya ruins.  Noticing people wearing masks outdoors.  Was that required?

Also were people allowed off the ship and outside the cruise port without a Carnival excursion?

I've read that Mexico is requiring masks outdoors if not at the beach or actively eating/drinking (and definitely for the long bus ride to the ruins). It's the reason I have decided not to do a ruins excursion here ☹️

We had to wear them in the port area and on the drive to and from the ruins but once we were inside the site we were allowed to take our masks off. If you have been to Costa Maya you know how long that pier is and we’ll I wasn’t wearing that walking back to the ship in that heat

That is good to hear that masks weren't required at the ruins. It did not look very crowded. The drive is still a bit long for me but good warning about the long pier since I plan to do something in the water.

Yes the pier is long, especially with the MG docked on the out berth wing at the end. Not as long as Progresso, IIRC. They used to have a tram run up and down from the shopping entrance to the end of the pier.

Side note I took like a three hour nap and almost forgot about my 6pm reservation. So as I was about to get dressed my room steward who has been awesome and asked about my day and then five days in asks are you sailing by myself? lol

I was like yup and then he asks me why, normally I don’t mind just wasn’t sure why he was pressing for information. And I explained my girlfriend is a nurse and with Covid being what it is her work wouldn’t let her off.
