Cost of Specialist Restaurants on Iona

Iona might be accurate in the above website but other ships are out of date because I know for a fact at least on Britannia in Sindhu that there is no set price for the whole meal anymore. All the courses are individually prices as a la carte, not sure about Sindhu on other ships or Epicurean.

As we all know, P&O websites are not noted for accuracy. However this is the only information I have been able to find. Prices may, or may not, be accurate. It is quite likely that prices will change when ships come back into service.

Booked onto Iona for 7 day Southern Short Break and would like to try a few of the Specialist Restaurants. Does anyone know the extra cost of each of the restaurants?

Just off Iona - super cruise.  The Epicurean surcharge was £28pp (we had an excellent meal there on our first night and got 50% off so only paid £28 for us both).  We didn't go to the Limelight Club but on Britannia in July it was £25pp. Sindhu did not have surcharge but you paid per dish.  The same applied to The Glasshouse, Beach House and Olive Grove - no surcharge, paid by dish.

Definitely book The Epicurean, Limelight Club or Sindhu as soon as you get on board - they get booked up very quickly.  Other restaurants are  accessed by joining a virtual queue via the My P&O "app" although we did manage to actually book The Beach House on the "app" but it can also be accessed by joining a queue on the "app".

Must give a should out for the fish & chips in The Quays - very good and nothing extra to pay!

It is a good idea to load the My P&O "app" onto your phone before you leave so that you are ready to go when you get onboard.

Hope this helps.

You would have to have access to the ships WiFi signal to do that and know the number code

You can load the website page beforehand so when you pick up the ship's wifi as you board, the login page will appear.  As was mentioned on another thread, the last six digits on your cruise card which are required to complete login are the same as the last six digits beneath the barcode on your boarding card.  Worked for us!

I have already installed My Holiday as a short cut on my phone.   Unfortunately with a very late boarding time I am resigned to having no chance of a speciality dining reservation let alone a half price one !

So the ships network must extend to the terminal via WiFi so you can load the website page

Yes, you can access the ship's wifi from the terminal once you have been fully checked-in at the check-in counter. You need to turn on airplane mode and then turn on wifi back on.

Beforehand, I had saved the following page on my phone:  https://myholiday.pocruises.com/  Once connected to the ship's wifi, this page came up with the login screen.

Details are also in Already Booked - Before You Sail - Life on Board and then scroll down to Holiday Your Way with My Holiday. Then click on Discover More, scroll down the page and there is a My Holiday Guide which can be downloaded as a pdf.

How did you manage to get 50% off?. We were on this cruise and there was no mention in Horizon of 50% off the first night---in fact I phoned Epicurean and asked if there was a 50% discount on the first night and I was told no?.

P&O have given 50% off in Epicure and and Sindhu on most, if not all ships on the first night for quiet a while. They used to give you a bottle of free house wine but I chatted to Head Waiter and said if you dont drink alcohol you dont get any benefit. It is usually in the Horizon in your stateroom when you embark but it usually is in very small writing and if you blink you would miss it.

Oh, sorry to hear that. We definitely only paid one surcharge in the Epicurean which I had booked for the first night as soon as we got on board - I've just checked our On Board Account Statement!  We also got 50% off surcharge in the Limelight Club on Britannia on the first night.  We knew nothing of this beforehand, so it was a very nice surprise.

I must have blinked - but, as I said, it was a nice surprise when we saw the bill 🙂.  Thanks, I will read the Horizon more carefully in future - don't want to miss any other gems.

On Azura and Ventura it's usually only applicable for early evening reservations, and it varies from cruise to cruise, depending on likely demand.  It's a nice bonus to have, but you can't rely on it.
