Does anyone know how early Celebrity Edge will let you board in Civitavecchia?  Just trying to plan how early to leave Rome.

Thanks.

From past cruises it was really early.    If you have an EU port prior to Civitavecchia there will be no customs formalities.   From past cruises I seem to remember 7:00 AM

It will also depend on whether or not Celebrity is still adhering to the designated boarding times as they are now.  If they are, @gina21764, you will be able to select your boarding time from the open options after the check-in process is open for your cruise, usually about 90 days out - though that has varied greatly recently.

No cruise lets you embark at 7 am!  The previous passengers won’t have left the ship yet!

It looks like the OP is Cruising in July 2022. By then, embarkation arrangements may be different than today, but still, nothing earlier than noon will be likely.   Depending on where the OP is staying in Rome, planning to leave around 10:00 or 10:30 should work.

You probably can disembark that early but I don’t think boarding starts until around noon.

when you do the on line check in, you will get a boarding time assigned to you.

Thank you so much.

Thanks.

Pre-Covid it was as early as 10:45, 11am, understanding that many North Americaners have flown over night and do not have anywhere to stay. But I do not know if this is still the practice.

Understood.  The world sure is in flux.
