scottbee Posted October 19, 2021 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2021 Update to the FAQs today: All combos of all WHO approved vaccines are now approved ! Will I be considered fully vaccinated if my first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine is from one manufacturer and the second dose is from another? The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has clarified their position regarding mixed vaccinations and provided Celebrity Cruises with updated guidance. For ALL sailings, including US and Global Departures, the CDC will now recognize a mixed series of any two of the following vaccines, with a minimum of 28 days between doses, as fully vaccinated: Pfizer Moderna Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca Sinovac Sinopharm https://www.celebritycruises.com/healthy-at-sea/faqs 3
Rare Jim_Iain Posted October 19, 2021 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2021 Thanks for posting. I'm sure our Canadian and British friends with mixed vax will be happy to hear. 2
Rare Lady Arwen Posted October 20, 2021 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2021 This is the news I’ve been waiting to hear! My DH and I both followed Canadian vaccine protocols and have a mix of AZ and Moderna. Then the shoot hit the fan and we were in limbo. Edge and Apex both booked and now I can breathe again. Thank you so much for posting!

frteach Posted October 20, 2021 #5 Share Posted October 20, 2021 Just heard this on the news and it really puts my mind at ease with 3 upcoming cruises with Celebrity, and a mixture of AZ and Pfizer. Hoping that Royal will update their protocols soon, so that Canadians can sail out of American ports with them as well.
TeaBag Posted October 20, 2021 #6 Share Posted October 20, 2021 I'm happy for all those who had mixed vaccines. We got both doses of Pfizer and DH got a booster of Moderna. We were told Moderna was a better choice than a third of Pfizer.
