Is there rental car shuttle bus from Celebrity's Port Everglades Cruise Terminal?

We are thinking of renting a car from one of the rental car companies near Port Everglades when we disembark from our Apex cruise?

Does any rental car company offer free shuttle from Terminal 25 of Port Everglades, and if so, how often do they run?

We have rented from Avis and Budget at Port Everglades. They have a shuttle from the port to their local location at 2520 Miami Rd. No rental agencies will shuttle you to their airport locations. They run “continuously”, which may mean a half hour or so wait.

it’s a piece of cake to get to the Avis/Budget office. Alamo used to have a location very close to the port, but I don’t think it survived COVID.

We normally rent from Alamo and use their  shuttle to transfer from the port to their rental at the Miami airport and vice versa. From the rental location you use the moving walkway to get to the airport. Extremely easy. Every where is interconnected

We have taken a cab or  shuttle from the ship to pick up a rental car at the  Ft Lauderdale airport..usually Budget but may try Alamo., Probably more costly due to airport location fees.  We  then take the car to our place on the West coast and return it to car agency the next day.

Pre-COVID picking up a car after the cruise from the Avis/Budget PE location was a zoo.  They had a few cars to start with, but then they turnaround the returns.  Have seen people waiting over an hour for their car after waiting for the shuttle to arrive as it makes the rounds to all the ships in port that day.  We found it far more efficient (and costly) to take a taxi to the airport and pick the car up there.

We just rented a car from Avis at Port Everglades. Online and their recording says they offer a shuttle. However, this is pre-Covid and no where does it say this! We waited over an hour at the port until we were finally able to get in touch with a live person at Avis. They said take a cab, Lyft or Uber since their shuttels aren’t running. It would have been nice to know! It’s a little while in the wall place with not a lot of cars.

Thanks for sharing your recent experience  on this.

We will plan on the taxi to FLL airport to pick up the car

Was a cab happy to take you just to the port gates?! It isn't a long ride for them.

Hopefully the shuttle will be working in the new year.
