Hi, thanks for your assistance.  I have 4 cruises booked in December.  Most with princess.  Does anyone know what happens at the port when you report that you have been outside the us within the past 14 days?  Not looking to have an extended embarkation because of recent cruises to the same ports my current cruising is going to go to.

  Thanks

My sister got sent to the yellow lane after a recent Princess cruise to Mexico upon our second cruise a week and a half later  She said there was a lot of waiting in line by that time and they made her repeat the covid test (no charge) until another passenger in the same situation complained that it wasn't required for international travel. Another employee came along who agreed they didn't have to retest but she'd already completed her test by then. This was in San Francisco and it seemed like a lot of the greeters and other workers were new there.

If they are B2B, you don't answer for every voyage.  If there is a test, you are administered by Princess and just ignore the 14 day thing.  They know where you have been by the second and next voyage.

This situation happened to us 2 weeks ago.  We were on the Emerald for a 10 day Canal partial transit and then boarded the Sky Princess 4 days later.  We had to answer that we had been to other countries in the past 14 days.  Of course the medallion app then made us "Yellow lane".

When we arrived at Port everglades and entered the line for check-in, we headed to the yellow lane.  A lady asked us - "are you Yellow only for recent travel?"  We replied "Yes", and she said - "go to the Green lane and they will take care of it right away."

We went to the green lane, and the guy said "Yes - there is a quick "fix" for dealing with recent travel, but he couldn't figure out how to get the online check-in to allow us to complete check-in.  He worked on it for 20-25 mins, called over his supervisor - who said "There is a quick fix for this", and also began trying to click various things on the computer to no avail.  She called her supervisor over, who said "Oh, there is a quick fix for this", but she couldn't figure it out.  Finally she phoned the original lady who had directed us to go to the green lane.  She came over.  The supervisor said "We can't figure out the quick fix you were talking about - how do we get them to complete check-in?  The medallion wont let them check in."  The original lady said, "Oh, it's simple, just change their answer from a "yes" where it says "have you travelled internationally in the past 14 days" and make it a "No."  So the other lady did that and onboard we went.

Foolish to have a question on the Medallion that will stop the process cold and no one knows how to proceed without changing the answer to fool the program.  Why have the question in the first place?

This is a very valid question if the person had international travel other than just being on a Princess cruise.

The problem is that the "just been on a Princess cruise" option is not part of the question.

This problem has also been mentioned by Canadians whose only international travel was flying from Canada to the USA cruise port city.
