Changing to higher category cabin in existing reservation

I may want to change cabins from an inside to mini suite for an upcoming cruise, keeping the same reservation. Is this going to be a problem - I really don’t want to cancel and rebook. Anyone have recent experience doing this?

That depends. When I used to book through a TA it was much more of a hassle and it was a 50/50 chance. The last 4 or 5 cruises I've used my PVP and have no problem doing it even when the pricing says valid for new bookings only.

I look at what cabin I want, figure out what the price difference is and decide if it's worth it to me to upgrade myself. The cruise that's coming up I went from obstructed balcony on deck 8 to midship  MA mini-suite on deck 10 for around 300 total. When I originally booked it would have been over 2000 more for that cabin and even at final payment back in September I had my PVP look at it and it was still 900 more so I waited and watched. I kept all of my original booking incentives.

Now about a week ago I was checking out a club class mini but my PVP said she could do it but I'd lose my OBC for my original booking so I decided to stay where we are. Maybe get a upsell haha.

Depends. Give it a try. You probably will pay the current fare with the current promo. You may be able to retain your current promo. Note UK/Euorpe procedures for change are different than North America. You did not mention your location.

Have you asked your PVP or the upgrade office to be upgraded?? Or rebooked with same OBCs? If concerned about having to rebook EZAIR just ask for a LIFT & SHIFT of airfare so that you keep your flights, price, and seats. I did

I booked and paid for a premium suite thru my agent. Wanted to upgrade to Penthouse Suite. Agent called and was told although cabins were available it would not be allowed. So my agent escalated the request thru her Sales/ marketing rep, who was able to get it done. Crazy….
