Why would they Test them?  Are you kidding me?  Do they test you as you are walking off a plane?  Do they test you as you leave your bank?  Do they test you after you go to get your hair cut?  Do they test you as you get off the public bus?  The answer is NO because you are not required to and you are not sick as far as you know!!

If we did it the way you are proposing we would NEVER get back to "normal" again.  Not only on a cruise ship but in a sports arena, a restaurant, ANYWHERE.

JIMBO you are pigeon holing the cruise industry by doing it the way you think it should be done and setting them up for failure.  As you quoted about above "the CDC would shut them down"

You continue to expose your hate and discontent post after post!!!!!

Sorry you can't handle the truth but that is what the cruise lines  said they would do for the CDC to protect the crew and passengers onboard.

The crew has testing every week all of  them,

I don't hate the cruise lines, I love cruising!

Yes guys. Please let's try to keep the thread civil to avoid it getting shut down 🙂 the letter was interesting, and no idea how the calculation came about.

I’m in your corner keeping the focus on you. Is departure expected to be on time?

Thanks for the live reports, if people could only knock off the C discussion it would be fantastic.

Agreed, 100%.

For all the hijackers here, there are other active threads that can can handle the extra discussions.

Vision of the seas pulling into port here at fort Lauderdale.. No idea why unless royal is using one of the other ships that got canceled in Coco cay to offload crew now20220108_142341.thumb.jpg.d16bd5bdb96b9cd9824b4ccd7d499995.jpg

They may be getting supplies for the ship and maybe refueling.  Thanks very much for the updates.

Come on guys let’s keep this report free of drama.

The poster has asked this and he is taking time out of his and his wife’s trip to keep us updated.

I can’t wait for more food porn, hopefully it’s posted when I’m full already.

Stay safe, mask up and Washy Washy.

Agreed!!  You know I'm with you in all aspects.  I just cant keep myself away from replying to a certain negative poster that seems to squeeze there miserable posts into all of these great threads.  Even my wife gets pissed when I take the bait.  I will do my best.😉

The Vision left Coco Cay this morning at 7am.  We are currently on Indy and when we opened our curtains this morning around 6:30, Vision was sitting next to us at the Pier.

I guess they will be making an early stop somewhere to let off quarantined sick crew.

Vision is in port with us today. Possibly offloading crew and adding ne.

Saw a lot of new crew in the MDR appearing to get training for this ship.

Just wondering what the temperature felt like when those pictures were taken. (I Florida for some years and I’m often down in the Fort Lauderdale area where my brother lives. At this time of year the weather can be very chilly. Certainly too cold to swim for some,  Including me

(and I live in the Midwest where we get temperatures below 0 degrees  F ).  I , for one, wouldn’t mind less people in the solarium. I don’t mind a little noise, but on  Oasis class ships, sometimes the solarium bar and pool get surrounded by very, very loud people. The more they drink, the louder they get, and the expletives continually fly.  I’ve seen people bring their own boombox things and play music super loud. That’s OK with me in the right venue,  but I don’t think the solarium is the right venue. (A man and woman at our dinner table told us they had complained to a crew member anout it one day and were told there was nothing he do about it.) Also it would be nice to be able to go in one of thehot tubs and find a space to sit at various times of the day. We don’t sail - hopefully - till mid February, but I just hope it’s not TOO empty! Or that shows aren’t cancelled.

I’m going to follow this thread as well and really appreciate the Post letting us know what is going on.

Yes we're expecting to leave at 5:30

Thanks for the live update, we are due to board the Allure next Sunday.

It feels like a leap of faith in these challenging times, but we are tired of staying put especially in the frozen north we live in.

Hope your sailing goes really well!

Quite a strong sea breeze on the beach yesterday. Most at our hotel hung at the pool as opposed to the beach. Started to get cool when the sun started to set. Quite cool later in the evening hower it is all relative compared to some of the temps at our homes.

Looks like all shows are a go this week except for Mama Mia show. They are going to have a shortened musical with just the songs.

It's about 75 today I think. Feels great when we haven't seen 40 in two months

The definition of Code Red was sketchy. It was used when I called Jan. 6 and again today. When I queried they used words like….limiting new bookings, changing itineraries, etc. One comment Jan 6 was ‘don’t worry, it’s not cancelled and if it is they will contact you by email.’ DON’T WORRY!   Yikes, we have 16 in our group!!!! In any event no changes can be made to a reservation while the sailing is ‘Code Red’. (It does NOT refer to the CDC color codes.)

Wow, what a nice time that would be during these times having the ship to yourselves.

Thanks for sharing your trip, I will be following all week.

Great wins at the HR, it has changed since the last time I was there it only had the one pool with the island and at that time it was beautiful. I will have to back the first chance I get OR when I’m brave enough to cross the border for fear of getting stuck down there testing positive.

Wishing you and your wife a fantastic time!
