Tokyo tea. Basically long Island but made with midori instead of coke. 

 

We booked onboard Odyssey and had a $300 off from the casino but it was already a crazy low price

So much food. Amazing service. Sat outside for dinner, I feel a lot better about covid being outside in the open air. We basically had the patio to ourselves. The mushrooms weren't on the menu of course but my boy Hendra came through when I mentioned them!

Boarding Allure today and figured I would do a live report for anyone who wants to follow along in these crazy times! Thankfully allure wasn't one that got canceled, as we were already in Florida when they announced the others. 

 

When we landed yesterday, it was nearly a 100 degree temperature difference from - 20 with the wind chill. 

 

My wife and I are late 20s and recently turned diamond. I'm more nervous of this cruise than she is, but, I hate most people to begin with, so I've been training for covid and social distancing my whole life. Lol. 

 

From passengers on the ship this week, it sounds like the passenger count will be down to about 1,500 and on an oasis class ship, that's going to be crazy if true. 

 

Stayed at the hard rock last night and it's a gorgeous property

 

Boarding was originally 10:30 but pushed back to 12:30 so few more hours. 

 

Operation covid stay away from me commences soon! Ask any questions you want! No promises how live I'll keep this! 

I appreciate you keeping us updated. We board next Sunday (Jan. 16, 2022) for a B2B. Can't wait to hear what you have to say.

Also following along. Our Feb 6th Jewel of the Seas cruise was canceled (to be honest, I am glad they took the decision out of my hands!), and we rebooked on the April 10th Allure.

Colesc thanks for the thread. Was suppose to be on your ship but canceled last week. Smart to get the ultimate dining ( I tried but it was sold out) Definitely the way you have to sit in the main dining room- 2 feet or less away from the next table- was what is the tipping point for me.

Please take a picture in the casino. Is it pretty empty? they are missing my donation this week for sure 🤣  Have a great trip 

Also I have a 4 pack of Snorkel Tour/ boat excursion that I paid for in full from a local well known excursion group. I would be interested in selling these to a group of 4 for a discounted rate. Send me a message if interested It is for Wed 12th in St Maarten

Wish I would have been braver and I'd be on there with ya!

Haven't heard anything yet but based on the cruise ship map, looks like Nassau denied us which isn't surprising. Didn't plan on getting off anyway

Captain said too windy to enter the narrow port. Same for the other ships.  Heading away new plans coming soon.

I wonder if it's truly that or the Bahamas turning away the ships as a covid precaution since the winds are only 14mph currently in Nassau

The wind here is a thing this has happened before. The channel is narrow.
