asctony Posted January 18, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2022 I cancelled a 3 Dinner Package on the Oasis because I canceled the cruise. The cancelation was to my original payment method, my Credit Card. How long does that normally take? It has been over 3 weeks. I did get an email from RCI for my records the same day I canceled. TIA

If cancelled separately from the cruise itself, you should have gotten it back by now - try to call.
LB_NJ Posted January 18, 2022 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2022 It could take a while. They used to quote up to 45 days. Not sure they are still saying that. I have had refunds take 5 months with multiple calls. That is the exception.

The 45 days it typically for the cruise itself - planner purchase refunds are usually 30 days or less.
asctony Posted January 18, 2022 Author #5 Share Posted January 18, 2022 Thanks You All. I will wait and see as report back when I get it. Nothing is done in a timely fashion. LOL Don't be late on making your final payment.

Refunded shore excursion credits have shown up within 2 weeks.
CyberTag Posted January 19, 2022 #7 Share Posted January 19, 2022 I would call. There was an issue with our recent refund and it took several phone calls.

Knowing how easily confused Royal is, I canceled the cruise planner items first and waited until the refund for them hit my credit card. It took under a week. After that I called and canceled the actual cruise. I had only paid the (fully refundable) deposit and there was no FCC involved. It was before final payment so a very simple transaction. I had the deposit back in about 3 weeks.
cruzincanuck Posted January 19, 2022 #10 Share Posted January 19, 2022 An IT glitch from Royal cancelled my UDP on Dec 27th ( I moved my cruise reservation and purchased the UDP for the new cruise the same day the week before- I should have waited a couple of days to purchase the UDP) . I called on Jan 10th and was told my CC would be credited within an additional 5 business days. It was on my CC last Thursday Jan 13th. So about 10 business days in my case. It is worth giving them a call to get a status. Hope it gets sorted for you soon 🙂
