Markanddonna Posted January 21, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2022 In Ohio, we have been able to get free COVID tests from our local libraries (although they have been difficult to get these past several weeks.) Yesterday, I received a box of two tests and these new ones clearly states they are NOT to be used for travel or proof for work, etc. In these new boxes, there are two tests "for infection detection." You don't use that Navica app with the proctor. I don't know if these are the tests the government is sending us in a few weeks, but don't count on using them for travel. We'll have to wait and find out if they are the ones with the Navica app.
Rare 1025cruise Posted January 21, 2022 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2022 My assumption is the government ones are non-proctored, so no, would not be acceptable for travel.
CHEZMARYLOU Posted January 21, 2022 #3 Share Posted January 21, 2022 Agree, they will be nonproctored.
CPT Trips Posted January 21, 2022 #4 Share Posted January 21, 2022 The tests being provided by the State of New Jersey are proctored, but must be returned for processing. I have not used them to know the turnaround time.
sanger727 Posted January 22, 2022 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2022 Interesting. I also live in Ohio and knew the libraries gave out the proctored home tests. I guess they aren’t anymore. Yes, the free ones the mail you won’t be either.
