Labadee

We are booked for the end of April, including Labadee.  I looked at the shore excursions and they include 'bed bed' rentals, and 'beach lounger for two', in addition to cabanas.

At CocoCay, regular beach chairs under umbrellas were plentiful, and free.  Do they have the same at  Labadee?

Yes there are plenty of free beach chairs. The beach attendants who are locals will hustle to get you a chair when you debark because they expect a tip but avoid the offers closest to the dock. They will hustle you to the worst beach area, rocky Adrenaline beach. Go to the farthest beach Columbus Cove. If you don't want to walk that far there is a free tram that will take you there. The beach attendants who place the chairs will expect a tip so bring a dollar or two per chair to tip them.

I'm looking at a map - is Columbus Cove the same place as Nellie's Beach?

No.  Nellies  beach ( near 32) is the beach is to the right  of  barefoot beach club (near 13) .  Columbus Cove (42) is the next beach over and to the right of Nellies beach.    It is confusing as the wording about Nellie beach is actually close to the Columbus beach area.

Hello, we're also booked for the end of April with a stop in Labadee but no shore excursions are available. Can you share the costs of the cabanas please?

We are booked at the end of April and all kinds of excursions are available to book at every port.  Did you look at the app or on the RCI website?  I booked an excursion on their website.

About 20 excursions offered on the website for a mid April cruise.   Cabanas are $ 350-600

IMO Nellie's is the best beach there.  Columbus has way more kids because of the water toys.  Nellies is nice and sandy.  We love it there.

They are under shore excursions, when you look at your cruise at the Royal site.

Right now the Nellie's Beach cabanas for 2 are $550 for over the water, or $508 for a waterfront Nellie's beach cabana, and $338  for a Nellie's beach cabana.  🙂

Thank you...we're traveling with my in-laws and would love to get a cabin.  I'm sure it won't compare to the Coco Beach Club cabana we had on CocoCay last September.

Not listed for our cruise yet...We're scheduled to be in Labadee on Day 11...I'll keep checking...thanks.

One the chair guys wanted to give a private tour when we were one of the first people off the ship. He was pretty insistent. They kept the chairs stacked up instead of putting them out on the beach so you are more pressured to tip. We stayed on the ship last time we went there. Nothing like CocoCay where you are not harassed by the staff that Royal employs there.

I have never been harassed by anyone on the beach at Labadee, and I've been there half a dozen times or more.

Avoiding the vendor area is easy enough to do, if you don't want to be around the pushy salespeople, too.
