Day in Juneau

You are going to have a major scheduling conflict - - -

One or the other but not both - unless your port call time is 8 or more hours and then even

that is questionable.

I would favor doing a Mendenhall (ground) excursion and time permitting the Mt. Roberts Tram -

some cruise lines offer this as a combo

With available port call time subtract a couple of hours just getting on and off the ship

to the vendors excursion site -

Helicopter or other air service subject to weather -

Ground and whale watching not so much but may not be comfortable

Make the most of what you can do

Oh and the reason you can only book 1 excursion at a port is the conflict of excursion times.

Sorry, I guess knowing what hours would help! We are in Juneau from 12:00-10:00pm and Skagway from 7:00am-7:00pm.

MISSING your cruise line ship and the date - - -

Skagway you will be find what ever you do - even the more time consuming Train over the

Canadian Summit to Carcross and the Bus trip return or v-v very accommodating.

Wished for a more liberal time envelope at Juneau but it is workable

As for Juneau there is time for two excursions closely coordinated - the helicopter or any

aviation excursions should be done first thing off the ship when the weather is apt to be

favorable VFR (visual flight rules) - as for whale watching or that Mendenhall trip and/or

the Mt. Roberts Tram a matter of how to put it together. Mendenhall after the helicopter

excursion would be overkill.

The excursion to Tracy Arm - Sawyer glacier could be substituted for the helicopter glacier

excursion the timing doesn't work for both

Side note about Juneau - there are three main piers downtown (Franklin St) that are the most

convenient for meeting with your vendor excursion - there is another pier (AJ) about a mile

away (used frequently by NCL) which the vendors have easy access to - but some time

should be allowed due to its slight remoteness to other activities

See what is available and if there is a timing conflict booking on line will not permit it or more

likely the software booking program will only allow one booking per port.

You may be able to work around this by booking one on line and contact the second vendor

directly making note of the other booking.
