Some do but not very many. Everyone just leaves their big boats in the South.

The boats here are for the lakes so are much smaller. Some are pretty big for the bigger lakes, but they get stored for the Winter and don't really leave.

This is my experience with the big boat owners I know, there may be some that leave for the Winter.
