Oh I believe its cancelled . What I dont believe is because of some covid thing..cost cutting.

That being said if they drop the price some more for vista march 5, I might jump on. I'm just a realist. I know a excuse when I hear it. ..but sure I'd like to go.

Check your offers. Booked this one yesterday when I saw it was FREE as a casino offer.

I gambled a little but I guess not enough. I have no casino offers. ..I'd jump if it was close to free. ..I'm half packed. Lol

Keep checking. I gamble very little and have not had any decent offers for a few weeks. Then, checked yesterday and saw this free offer. Never had anything like that before... Good Luck!

I waited until the MG sailing dropped to around $500 for a solo I snagged that up.

Also pretty sure John will be on the MG for the Sailbration

They will serve Baked Alaska (except Ecstasy) and this is all I have seen:

Carnival Miracle welcomed approximately 2,000 guests during embarkation to a birthday party complete with music and décor. Once on board, the fun continued with a 50th Birthday Bash Sailaway Party.

The Dome in Long Beach is tastefully decorated with banners celebrating 50 years. I am not sure what "special" menu's means, and birthday medalions for trivia winners.

I am just hoping for a slice of cake and ice cream and a game of pin the tail on the cruise director.

We booked the Vista $0 casino offer tonight.  We last sailed on the Breeze in October and January and gambled $20 each in October and none in January.  Go figure!

Baked Alaska on the last night would be great!

The thing is, it's already on ships on the last night. We had it on Radiance just two nights ago. It isn't the "parade", but is a flamed up version.

The gala buffet got axed due to Covid restrictions. It is being replaced with a special dinner menu, that is currently TBA,

Which is crazy considering a full casino, especially the one we were just in on the Radiance, would be way more "risky" than the gala buffet. Oh well.

More people cramming into a confined space. First the picture takers and then the porkers. Likely a higher percentage drunk and unsanitized. There are other dining venues sharing the load during normal meal times.

Nothing to do with the time.

Yes, the special buffets generally were laid out on long tables not in the normal buffet stations. There is no extra sneeze guards or protection. It just was not feasible to do.

sad thing for me at least was when I booked this cruise, this year 2022 the midnight gala buffet was being advertised as part of it and grabbed my interest. So while I can understand it being covid restricted, they had to have known few months ago when still in their adds. And kinda wondering why they could not modify and set up in the actual buffet areas they use for current meals on lido, etc.

Definitely think it was bad form for Carnival to pull the few things they mentioned in their ads.  It basically was the throw back sea day from a Journey's Cruise (Gala Buffet, previous activities and food items).  Even pulled back the cherry jubilee and cappuccino pie.  Not feeling incredibly confident that even the meet up will be to the potential it could have been.  Hoping for the best, hoping they surprise me.

Who'da thunk there would be, much less still be, a pandemic when Carnival started planning and announced Sailabration. Or all the supply chain problems and other issues. Heck, Carnival might as well still require masks.

But they were still promoting all these things a month ago. Clever of them to put all the “oldies” in one menu rather than offering them at more than one meal.  So the big sailabration party now amounts to a possible ship meetup and one meal with some variety in choices. Maybe they will even blow up a balloon or two.
