Pittsburg Hotel for Ohio River Cruise

Can anyone tell me the hotel AQV uses for the pre-cruise night in Pittsburg. It seems that somewhere I read that the Embassy Suites was the one, but now I can’t find that info. I need to reserve an extra night beforehand and don’t want to have to change hotels.
Thanks!

Barb

I’m curious too. We’re getting off in Pittsburgh.

I called American Queen Voyages and talked to the nicest lady. Yes, the hotel is the Embassy Suites. It is located at 535 Smithfield St. downtown.

Just for fun, there is an aerial photo of Pittsburgh on the Royal Caribbean board. page 1,005 of the humour post.  Your hotel will be not far behind the beginning of the buildings, and the boat will be on the left margin.

Just looked this up and can't seem to open the page. Any suggestions?

I see you did find the picture!  And I guess you have to know Pittsburgh, and probably some sci-fi, to appreciate it.  The top one of the two photos is an aerial view of Pittsburgh, sandwiched between the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers. The riverboat will probably be docked at the far left, on the opposite bank of the Allegheny, and will sail onto the Ohio, which is formed by those two.

The similarity of the two photos is the joke, in this case.

For anyone else looking for it, the original is post #25,122, on page 1,005, in "To add some humour" on the Royal Caribbean board.

I received an AQ brochure today, which has a similar - but better - aerial view of Pittsburgh.  Your hotel will be roughly in the center of the city buildings; the boat will probably (based on previous years) be docked in the white space to the left, below all the yellow bridges over the Allegheny River.
