Only thing on the agenda today is a Hold’em Tournament.  Aside for the slot pull on the first day, I’ve been so busy I haven’t been in the casino.  Color me shocked!!!!😲

How much is the tournament to play? Any rebuys?

And what’s the final payout?

Thanks

I talked to a lady tonight that had MTD, and she said they were in American Icon and Silk, so I guess that leaves assigned in The Grande and Chic if that’s important.

Yes thank you. I always make a special request pre cruise for a specific location due to some issues we have. On the other RCL ships we didn't have to specify which dining room only MDR. I understand Ovation has 4 dining rooms so I need to decide which to request.

With traditional you will be limited to Chic and Grande.

Biker, who would choose Grande since the tassels at the bottom of the chairs in Chic are annoying.

Thanks from pictures I've seen Grande looks nicer. I'm going to miss the feel of the 3 floor dining.

Do MTD people just choose which one they prefer each night, or is it assigned based on space available at the moment?

I’m sorry. That I do not know. I have MTD, but I don’t normally eat in MDR. Maybe somebody that knows will answer.

The host decides unless you say something and subsequent times you are likely to be seated in the same room/area.

Biker, who prefers the far back area of Icon.

For those who follow any of the cruise Vloggers/ YouTubers, I had the pleasure of meeting Chris Wong who has his Royal vlog, which follows his work as a Casino Host.  Very personable and likable young man.

Helpful, too!  Glad I got a chance to chat with him.

I plan on stopping by to meet him. I started watching when someone in one of our groups posted a link when he started back up with Ovation.

Thanks.  That payout stinks

I’m use to NCLs Tournaments where you can rebuy rebuy  and loads of people play w multiple tables going.   Those made it worth it

You'll see some of that in the Caribbean. If you get enough people signed up, I prefer the no-rebuys as too many people have that online approach of playing wayyyyy too overaggressive and shoving constantly early.

Yeah….if I beat someone once. I don’t want to have to play again and again because they lose and keeps rebuying.  It’s a tournament.  You put someone out, they’re out.

Cash game?  Different story…Reload all you want.

100%. I'm a cash game guy myself mainly because I hate that approach at low entry, multi/unlimited rebuy tournaments. At least you don't see a ton of it in Vegas (have had some decent tournament success there), but don't get out there too often.

Quick question: is the solarium bistro open day 1 for lunch?

thank you again for a great review!

It was on this sailing, but it was “hit and miss” the rest of the week!
