Prime Free Cruise details

This will be our first experience as Prime.  It says a free interior on a 7 day cruise for select ships.  Does that mean that new ships like Wonder will be excluded?  Are there many blocked off dates that limits availability?  If you want to go on an 8 day cruise what discount do you get?  Also, the reduced cost for surf and stream is 30%?  How do you book onboard? We want to maximize our booking discounts, so any suggestions are welcome.

Prime is one of the tiers in the Casino Royale loyalty program - kinda like being Diamond for the first time.

But unfortunately, most will be answered incorrectly!  The casino booking agents are hit or miss, some good most not so good.

All ships with less than 365 days in service are excluded.

You will be getting this discount off of the onboard price, which may not be as good of a discount as booking it ahead of time, just a heads up.  

 

I'm not sure if the discount shows up when you go to create your VOOM account when you board or not since I'm Diamond+ and always use that discount.  You may have to ask at the VOOM desk when you board if the discount option isn't showing when you try to register for VOOM.

Well, if you are talking about searching this forum, I ALWAYS do that before I ask a question. I try not to waste people's time.  The current Prime information I found was as clear as mud.  As usual, I have found people that are quite helpful. Thanks for your effort.

I hate to pile on to Casino Royale before I even get my certificate.  They are busy and hold times can be long.  I am still learning my way around Royal as we are switching from another cruise line.  They have been very helpful for the 4 casino cruises I've recently booked.

Tip- do a mock booking and request a specific stateroom and a back up!

You're likely to have multiple offers available on the ClubRoyaleOffers.com website. Just use your last name and C&A number. On the right is a link that says "View Itineraries" and it will show you which sailings you're eligible for. 

 

Even though we're barely prime we get offers for oceanview rooms all the time. We also just got an offer in February to do Wonder OTS for Easter, so the new ships aren't necessarily off limits.

Welcome to Prime!!  There is a thread in the "Cruise Casinos" part of the forum that focuses on Club Royale.  There is lots of great info in there.

 

Normally you cannot use the tier cruise for new ships but we were able to use it for Odyssey.  That may have been an anomaly because of low bookings due to covid.  Before last year, it was any sailing of 8 days or less excluding major US holidays.

Offers, and the annual Prime certificate have different rules

General rule is annual prime cruise cannot be new ship or a holiday sailing.

You may get offers throughout the year but as John said above offers have different rules than prime certificate.

 

I.e. we have offers for Wonder sailings out Spain and had offers for March/April out of Fl but we would Not have been able to book our annual freebie on wonder.

 

For all new prime members, check the clubroyaleoffers.com site every week as New offers pop up on a regular basis.  Right now we have 5 or 6 different offers.
