Mr Princess Posted March 31, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2022 My wife and I are planning a cruise with our family, which will involve booking 8 cabins on a Princess ship. Do Princess give any bonuses for this group booking? Thanks, in advance, MP.
Rare Ken the cruiser Posted March 31, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 31, 2022 IMHO I would be contacting a TA to see what kind of deal they can make on your behalf. That's quite a few cabins and any deal Princess might offer you, I would think a good TA would be able to beat considerably.
Rare Lady Arwen Posted March 31, 2022 #3 Share Posted March 31, 2022 Agree with Ken. This is not a DIY. A reputable travel agent would be your friend in this situation. They have tons of experience with group bookings and can probably give you great incentives.
skynight Posted March 31, 2022 #4 Share Posted March 31, 2022 Princess no. T.A.'s probably will provide you with some better group fares and/or benefits.

Thrak Posted March 31, 2022 #6 Share Posted March 31, 2022 If ANY of the folks are prior Princess cruisers and ANY are not prior Princess cruisers then the one who IS a prior Princess cruiser should do the Refer A Friend thing. Do it BEFORE booking the cruise. Each person referred will get $25 OBC and the person doing the referral will get $25 OBC for EACH referral. It's well worth the effort.
justafem Posted April 1, 2022 #7 Share Posted April 1, 2022 It used to be that if you booked 7 rooms, the 8th was free. You really should call for something like this, it could be amazing or it could be ehhh. I'm sure any TA or PVP would jump at the chance to book this for you and give you something special. Rare Shelly97060 Posted April 1, 2022 #8 Share Posted April 1, 2022 You would benefit by contacting a TA and tell them you are interested in setting up a Princess “Celebration Group” . This is a specific group type that is ideal for smaller family groups like yours.

I believe for a 8 cabins booking, it is not 8th is free, it is normally 1 berth is comped as what is known as Tour conductor. Princess does have a group dept and you can talk with them and call a few Travel agents to see which amenities/incentives they will/can offer. I know a few groups of 6 cabins qualified as a group via Princess and were granted a ‘group’ OBC for each cabin/passenger.. I believe you need a minimum of 8 cabins to get the tour conductor credit, which would be the cruise fare for one person, excluding Govt taxes and fees.. nyc12345 Posted April 1, 2022 #10 Share Posted April 1, 2022 When I booked a group with my TA, I get discounted room price plus OBC. When there are eight rooms, one person is free (except for government taxes).
