…. twin sister NCL ships Pearl and Gem are docked at Dockyard in Bermuda today, next to each other.

From our place (in Southampton) across the Great Sound:

Pearl on left and Gem at right. Next to them is the sailing vessel “Spirit of Bermuda”.

Then we went to North Shore in Pembroke and took more shots :

I don’t think I’ve ever seen twin sister ships like that at the same time.

Yes, Pearl & Gem are exact sisters as they were the only Jewel class ships with aft Bliss lounge and bowling alleys, and mid-ship shops. The other 2 (Jewel and Jade) have the Bliss lounge mid-ship and shops aft, but do not have bowling alleys.

The Pearl was first to arrive, Sunday morning and tied up at the southern end of the wharf. I believe it’s Heritage wharf and where the Gem is is called Kings Wharf.

It's the other way around. The Pearl was docked at the Kings Wharf, and Gem was docked at the Heritage Wharf.

I stand corrected, if I’m in Bermuda you can call it a dock and I’ll be happy.

Looks like they were removed during Gem's last drydock/refurbishment. I don't know if Pearl still has hers.

When they were built they were the first ships to have bowling alleys. The Epic followed.

Edit: just saw NCL.com & cruisedeckplans ... Pearl is still in her original "finery" - bright colours, etc. She is due to go into dry dock in November 2023.

To be fair we have just got off the Gem and I would say she is long over due an over haul!

It’s almost a year later and they’re back here together! Again Pearl is on the left and Gem on the right.

I’m 4 days from boarding Pearl again for our annual Boston to Bermuda cruise! Looks beautiful in Bermuda right now. I hope that continues!
Thanks for posting!

Tomorrow Prima and Pearl will be there together. I can’t wait to see Prima in person next Tuesday!

💖This makes me so happy!!!!

Lived in Bermuda for 2 years during Covid and ship sightings were rare.

This is such a wonderful sight to see, and am so jealous. I can just hear the kites singing getting ready for Easter!

Thank you @bluesea777...you made my day!

Warmest, Amy

The Pearl had her bowling alley last year.

Uploading 2 pix - captured these earlier today on the BDA port cam panning at Dockyard - lots of pax on the Spirt of St. George, looks like a long queue to disembark the ferry returning to the wharf and with 2 ships there.  Check out those waiting at the taxi/tour bus pickup/drop-off area.
