Jonthomas, I feel your pain, mixed messages like this are very trying. The Oceania Club Ambassador on Riviera when we were onboard with you was Kristina Milutinovic. She gave me her business card but unfortunately her email address is not on it. ..."

I pulled out my Guest Statement for the booking I made on Riviera. All it says is, "OCI Cruise Specialist: Club Ambassador Riviera Email: [blank]".

That is also fascinating. Who knew so hard to ID or contact later: "I am trying to get Rosanna's email. But now will try to get anyone's email that is an Ambassador on the ships."

Our Day 2 Currents (12/14/21) has "Meet Your Oceania Club Ambassadors". Ours were Jennifer Faust and Alex Norton.

the rep is trying to get management to approve it....I was asked to provide information that states this rule...I provided their own press release in 2018, also quoted the on board sales rep....the O rep sent it off to management.....that was 3 days ago...I am still waiting for the ruling....yes have reached out to the O rep several times, he has told me he is waiting on the ruling....

I have two cruises on hold, using this ruling. On hold, till O gets their act together.

someone here has even reached out to the SVP for this information...

really outrageous, how something so simple has become such a mess....

again, thank you ...

I had no idea you were working with the rep..

I will now back out of this..too many cooks etc...

.usually when I help someone they understand what I am doing and leave it to me..

Thanks Eloise.

I emailed the contact section for O, to get an email for one of their ship ambassadors. If I get it, will email them and ask them to send their policies of Enhancements to head office. Awful that I should have to do that.

Yes looking to book two cruises before my 30 days are up on May 4.

Hard to leave it to someone that I dont know.

If you get a response from an SVP, please let me know.

Meanwhile, trying to reach out to an Ambassador on any O ship so they can inform management at head office what the Enhancement policies are. These were   instituted in 2018. Seems Management has no clue what the Ambassadors on the ships are offering. Not easy to get their email addresses. Yes contacted O to get the contacts. It all takes time.

can you please give me the name of the O rep you dealt with that had knowledge of the 30 day post cruise enhancement?

I wish I could. But unfortunately I don't remember or know. For both the one I booked onboard and the one afterward, I spoke with multiple sales reps. I can't even remember which one I finalized the onboard booking with. Forget if I started with Alex on one day but then finished with Jennifer on another. Or vice versa. I just remember going up twice. Set up something at first and then changed it when I went back. But it was Alex at the future bookings meeting onboard. Same for the 2nd booking. I just called the O number and got who I got. Then did some changing later that day. For the 1st person accidently included something (I think OBC?) when I wanted "cruise only". I couldn't get thru so I just went with the next available sales rep. Who had to "fix" the booking. Don't have a TA. So just me making the calls. (I later outside the window and booked a late '23 cruise and that sales rep also messed something up, so I had to call once to fix it. Fix didn't fix, so that meant I had to call again. This time to same person. Rep remembered the fix call and was surprised it wasn't fixed. Suddenly I got all new billing statement with a 5% discount.)

Jon,

unfortunately you do not know the pecking order on Oceania.... Miami trumps Ambassadors and SVP trumps everyone on board but Captain

Good luck

Not sure knowing the pecking order would have gotten me any further than I am.

The odor of superiority is abhorrent to me.

But I digress. At this point, it has become a curiosity. Since I am ignorant of  a pecking order, then why are the Ambassadors free to offer enhancements that the higher ups are not aware of? Rhetorical, no reply needed.

I am glad to see that O recognized their errors, with the 5% discount. I respect that.

Guess, those of us that dont know the pecking order,  or have Supper TAs , have to deal with all the  screw ups. Yeah, I am being sarcastic. ( have to stop that and do better)

Sooooo, I realize there has been a lot (too much?) back and forth on this topic, but I really hope that one of you will get a definitive answer, maybe even the one we’re all hoping for, and then post it on this thread. We just returned from a cruise, and silly me, I didn’t take advantage of the onboard offer.  Now, of course, a cruise has popped up that is very tempting. Fingers crossed and ever hopeful, but I will say when I spoke with an O rep a couple of days ago, he said the only thing we could get in the 30 day post period was a $100 OBC. Would love to prove him wrong.

@SophieM,

Definitely a mistake not to book something on board.  We and our friends ALWAYS receive an email from Oceania when we get home, virtually the first day, and we are offered a $200 O Club gift so you too should be able to apply that to your desired booking. Not pp but per stateroom but still a gift horse we can’t look in the mouth.
Also as I have often told others, IF you are an NCLH Shareholder of 100 shares, cost approx. $2000 now, you will be eligible to receive up to $250 SBC per stateroom on every NCL, O or REGENT cruise.  My wife is always able to find something in a boutique, the Spa, the Artists Loft, wherever to spend any “gift $$”. OK, maybe I get a Logo shirt 🤪. Maybe your TA can assist you in finding some additional amenity perks. Good Luck.
Ciao, Mauibabes

At this point, enough said by me.

If anyone has anything of a helpful nature to add, please email me. I will however come back and post a result of all my efforts, in the event it can help others.

Thanks for posting this Jancruz. Sounds like this might be the wording of the email referred to in Mauibabes post - can you confirm if that’s the case please Mauibabes?

Thanks, all, though not exactly what I was hoping for but definitely lesson learned. This was the first cruise where we didn’t take advantage of the on board booking perks. It could have had something to do with the four we already have booked between now and February and my husband putting me on cruise booking lockdown. 🤣

Yes, that is the language in the email we received from Oceania.

Good luck all and we will await the new thread related to TA’s. Since that is a verboten topic on CC, guess you better just plan to have a lot of chats over drinks with other guests on your next cruise.

Just out of curiosity, after I returned from my November transatlantic cruise on Riviera, I don’t think I received this email. I did book a cruise while on board, and I would not have booked a second cruise after arriving home, so I’m not missing anything.
However, I wonder if I did not receive the email because I did book on board?  Or, perhaps because I was traveling solo?
Of course, it could’ve gone to my spam folder. It would not be the first important email that was lost to the spam gods.

And, MauiBabes, definitely yes to the shareholder perk! We have used it several times. NorseH2O, maybe not too helpful, but we always book directly with O, either on board or Miami, and then I use the 30 day grace period to determine which travel agency can offer the best perks.

Thank you, SophieM. We book while cruising and the transfer to travel advisor has worked well. MauiBabes, thank you for the advice about the verboten topic. We look forward to ‘chats over drinks’  on the Regatta in 10 days!

Jan, have you been in that cabin before?  Looking at the deck plan and seeing that it's directly below Waves Grill, I would worry about noise.  Not a problem?

My favorite cabin is 8049 which was taken but on Regatta there is never any noise..but on Nautica I did hear noise..very strange..

I have been in 8049 between the two ships about 250 days..thanks for thinking about me and so sorry we didnt meet..
