Does Carnival have a program for Upgrades?

Celebrity has a bidding program to bid on better cabins.

Does Carnival offer this?

We were offered a free cruise via their Casino Match program in an interior cabin.

The Miracle interiors are large & we are fine with them.

But we might consider an upgrade if the price was right since we only paid taxes & fees for our cruise.

Not a program but the do offer upgrades for a price closer to sail date. Watch your booking as they’ll pop up under your “things to do” but won’t necessarily notify you. We got upgrade from interior to balcony for $200 on a 7 day. No rhyme or reason to who gets the offers as far as I can tell.

Have had a few upgrade offers the past few years, passed on some and accepted a few. They have showed up in my e-mail. Sign up for the e-mail.

This happened to me in January. We purchased a balcony for $210. We jumped on it.

With that said, there is no official program, nor is it something you should expect. It's no surprise that when ships were sailing at 50%, that they would offer this to shift people and make more with who was onboard. As ships sail closer to full capacity, there is no reason for them to give away their best rooms for pennies on the dollar.

UPGRADING YOUR STATEROOM

We cannot accommodate requests for upgrades on the day of your cruise as we sail at capacity.

Carnival has made selecting the stateroom location you want more affordable than ever. Choosing your stateroom as early as possible ensures you get the best locations available.

Opportunities to purchase an upgrade are available prior to your cruise, subject to availability. To change your stateroom, please give us a call at 1-800-438-6744 and our Guest Services team will be more than happy to assist. Please note, if you are booked through a travel agency, you will need to contact your travel professional for assistance.
