I'm finally caught up!  Thanks for bringing back all these great memories of Mardi Gras - we can't get enough of that ship.  We've already been on MG twice and are booked again for December.  Our son and DIL actually had a spa balcony room on deck 17 in March and loved it. We were on deck 16, our favorite.

It's great to follow along on this post for the Mardi Gras and really good to see comments like this! We'll be sailing on Carnival for the first time this October and it'll be on the Mardi Gras. "Just" 149 days to go 😄

Glad that you're enjoying the review and it's bringing back good memories. I'm sure your son's spa balcony cabin was just fine, but we wouldn't pay the premium for that cabin to have access to the Thermal Suite on the MG. That's just us. 😎

I have 1 comment and 1 question!

Towels!  It looks like a whole wall of towels in the locker room.  On the Splendor I could not find any and when I asked the spa manager, she said “oh we have plenty of towels everywhere.”

Any idea what the white stuff in the soap dispenser on the right is?

Patti tells me that the white stuff was conditioner. As for towels, when we were last at the Spa on the Splendor in 2019, there were towels at the T-Pool.....

Towels out in the hallways.....

You will have a great time on the Mardi Gras, as she's a beautiful ship! Is she perfect? No, but then again, no ship is! :classic_cool:

They must be REALLY clean as three or four people have mentioned that on here! LOL

The next time we are at Buc-ees, Patti will take pictures of the Ladies Room to document just how clean they are! :classic_biggrin:

Awesome review Jamman54, Thanks

DW & I sailed her on a 6 night'er in January,  Can't wait to get back on board July 9th, 50 days out.

How was Eden in the piano bar if you made it?  We had Michael on our cruise and he was a blast.

I'm sure we will have more peeps on board, but that never slowed us down.

Keep it coming please..

Thanks for reading! It won't be that long until you are on her again. Eden is one of the most popular piano bar players, though we never made it there this time. It was packed every time that we passed. :classic_cool:

We're going to have to send @sid_9169 to one for a full report. They're constantly cleaning the stalls. They have hand sanitizer in every stall. Toilet seat sanitizer in every stall.

I've been to one years ago in Texas, but I didn't check out the restrooms. We just had one open in the far suburbs of Atlanta, so I'll have to go and check it out:)

Oh I agree!  However, they paid less for their deck 17 spa balcony than we did for our deck 16 Lido balcony AND they got $500 OBC. We got high prices and no OBC.  🤦‍♀️ Our son is almost Platinum so I'm curious to see if his great prices disappear when his VIFP level changes.

Is he trying to put the entire scoop of ice cream in his mouth at one time? Am I seeing that right? I don't think he needed the bowl. Shoes off. Looks very comfortable.

Patti made her way back to the Red Frog Tiki Bar to meet me for sail away. It’s getting a little crowded now…..

IMG_1040-X2.jpg

We’re hanging out with John, (chipster 2), and his wife Gerry…..

IMG_1043-X2.jpg

Aswan lets everyone know that bar service has stopped for the Safety Briefing…..

IMG_1038-X2.jpg

Once the Safety Briefing is over, the drinks start flowing again, and Cruise Director Lee Mason and the Fun Squad get the Sail Away Party started…..

We are now sailing from Terminal 3 in Port Canaveral. I had hoped that the Carnival Magic would have sailed first so that we hear the horn battle, but it was not to be. We sailed first, and the Mariner of the Seas followed us out……

IMG_1067-X2.jpg

IMG_1068-X2.jpg

IMG_1080-X2.jpg

It only takes about fifteen minutes to be out at sea, and soon the Pilot Boat was pulling alongside the Mardi Gras…..

IMG_1079-X2.jpg

Patti then went to the starboard side of Deck 17 to check out Circle “C”, and the Warehouse Arcade…..
