Thank you for posting the link. It was exactly the kind of information I was looking for and may not have come across on my own.

 

I have often wondered about people who test positive at Canada Place or the airport after getting off the ship. I suppose you have to find your own hotel with immediate availability for ten days. Or do the testing facilities have black mini-vans on stand-by to take people away?

I found the artical rather disturbing.

 

Disturbing in the sense of how much the actions of others can affect you.

 

One better triple check that they have insurance that will cover trip interruption,

and mandatory isolation hotel-days.

All you have to do is scroll through some of the threads here or on some of the other cruises lines to see the magnitude of the problem. Apparently some on a recent Royal sailing were sent to Seattle and others were kept on board because there were not enough contracted hotel rooms for people needing to complete quarantine.

I strongly believe that travel insurance is a must!  It saved us a ton of $$$ when we tested positive on a b2b cruise in February and had to isolate in a Florida hotel.
