This is an older ship so anyone sailing on her needs to know that or don’t come on board. I find the common areas are in much better shape than the cabins. They have had some sprucing up. I knew my cabin would be different as it connects to the Penthouse suite and had different decor. It definitely needs work but luckily it is nothing that had impacted my trip to much. I am using FCC that was going to lose so don’t feel awful about the problems but still no excuse for what others are experiencing.

if you want the suite life it is limited. We are enjoying the smaller restaurant and the pampering but the ship does not have dedicated space other than Michael’s Club and Luminae so be warned. This is my first suite experience in Celebrity I will be on the Equinox in September in a suite so I can compare.

If you ever have the chance to experience suite life on Edge, Apex, or Beyond do it!  That is where you see the BIG difference in pampering, day to day service, decor, offerings, etc.  I hate that Celebrity has not found a way to provide in the Retreat areas a small pool or hot tubs for the other ships.

Appreciate this review! We will be on the Infinity next April in Spain and booked more for the itinerary than ship, but good to see the public areas are looking good. Hopefully they will have staffing/service kinks worked out since that is still 10 months away!

If anyone aboard now could snap a picture of cabin 7903-7904 that area would be much appreciated.

Trying to see what is across from those cabins.

Thank you....Enjoy your cruise

I don't know where 7904 is, but across from 7901,3, & 5 is a blank wall that's an extension of the hallway.  The vestibule for the elevators is on the other side of the blank wall.

I didn't mean 7904, sorry....it was 7903 & 7905.  Thank you for the info.  I see on the Infinity ship facts it says there is a Passport bar.  Is there??   Thanks again....

We've sailed both the Summit (loved) and Milly (not so much) in the past 6 months.  Love this class ship.  I thought Infinity had gone the being Revolutionized.  Is that not the case?  We're embarking on Saturday.

I'm hoping that the Casino has a craps table open (Milly did not) for our cruise.  We're in Aqua for both cruises.

As far as the AC, usually day one every ship has issues with the AC, especially Veranda cabins.  When you get on board, it's best to get to the cabin as soon as you can and close the drapes.  Also, most cabins turns the AC off is the Veranda door is open.

Thanks for all the updates on this thread.  Keep them coming!

Someone just placed a review on cruise critic although they are only a few days on the cruise it’s a very bad review…..they had to switch cabins 4 times due to diesel smell, ac not working so ship warm, did not get their anytime dining got a 830 slot and did not get out until nearly midnight, their friend got off at key west due to the problems, short staffed seems to be a big issue.

not good.

I am very interested in learning more about both the Bimini port stop and the Puerto Plata one.  I am booked on this itinerary later this summer.

When in Bimini with Crystal last summer, there was a tram from the ship that made a few stops around Resorts World and the beach.  Did this happen for the Celebrity ship?  Also, there has not been an options online to book a day pass at the Resorts World Beach Club, only an excursion to Paradise Beach.  Was that offered as an option on your Celebrity Cruise?  Doesn’t the tram stop at Paradise Beach as well?

I have never been to Puerto Plata and am wondering if it is safe to go out on your own or if we need to book an excursion.  Most of the excursions that I am interested in include long bus ride (which I am not interested in).  I saw the beach break and have looked at the falls.

Thank you for any information you can share.

I read that you couldn't book the Resorts World pass until you were on the ship.  Have to do it through the app or at the desk.  Not sure if this is true.

Thank you again for sharing your experience with us.

Would you mind sharing where the ship docked in Key West? Thanks!

It docked at the normal cruise ship pier right by Mallory square.

Where is that review.   I don’t see it.  We are sailing on Infinity later and I’d like to read it.  Makes me think about switching ships is possible.   Thank you

We are on the July 2 sailing and I am having second thoughts. We booked while they were still offering cancel up 48 hours prior to sailing.

Kim, if I were you I would call and see what your options are.  Of course, if you got a really, really good deal, it MAY be worth a shot, but, I can not see how much is going to change in a few short days.  Best wishes to you.

Just back from Luminae and they said you could order from Blu menu for those who want to. At least on the Infinity at this time.

Things are challenging for sure and I am lucky to be in the retreat. I want to say our cabin is ok but not so much. In addition to it being hot it has a bad smell they can’t get rid of. We use a fan at night which helps some. The verandah is in need of love.

The AC around the ship is better this morning. It feels cold in the hallways and I see people working on it all over the ship.

I do feel bad for those in the MDR as that is where I would be if not for the FCC.

My sister and I are on the ship to be together so trying to keep that in mind when things are not quite right. I do how they can straighten it out. No one will be happy paying these prices for what we are getting. Everyone no matter what class stateroom you are in is getting a less than expected experience.

I am lucky to be sitting on the verandah eating my breakfast and will enjoy the day.

I think it would have been better getting the ship ready with everything working and a full crew rather than to have customers experiencing all these issues and then to provide negative trip reports. Doesn’t make sense I mean it was out of action for many months so another while shouldn’t have made a difference.

Was considering a solo October cruise on Infinity, I love the itinerary and IMO a great deal.  Defiantly re-considering after hearing the horror stories going on.  I get it that its the first cruise on this ship in 2 years, but these issues are not a "rusty crew" it sounds like the ship is in dis-repair and maybe shouldn't be sailing.  I can get past a rusty crew, defiantly not a rusty ship...

not good.

Must be HORRIBLE to get off the ship after only being on it for 16 hours.

We booked this ship months ago for a October sailing.  We got a ridiculous price so went for it but now I'm rethinking.  Final payment not due for a bit yet.  I know its the first sailing and you'd think by October all the kinks would be worked out.  I've sailed many Celebrity ships/cruises and have never had a worry.....until now.
