My offer is $200 obc and it is only on select sailings. Have to cruise by 5-31-23! Great rates too! I usually don’t book until later in the year. We just cruised 5-14. So torn as $200 I don’t see often.
Opinions please! Thanks

Opinions?  Okay 😇

I'm not making any decisions based on an offer of $200 OBC.

Ship, itinerary, departure port, dates, travel costs, cash flow,,,, all these things go into my decision making whether or not there is any OBC let alone a measly $200.

I totally understand your dilemma. They keep putting that carrot out there for us as well and that might explain my travel habits as of lately. About to leave again this week on a cruise we booked at the end of last month when we got off a cruise and have another cruise two weeks after that (booked last year with an offer to good to pass up). My wife and daughter have an offer for a trip we are looking at in October that expires on 7/5 that we will book when we get off this next cruise. I got an offer that also expires in the same period for sailing Dec-May of next year that I may also have to book. If it looks good and you would plan on going anyway whats the harm of booking? Some of the offers also have price protection so you really can't lose.

Opinions in what form ? There have been a lot of amazing deals all year to various destinations.  Like the above poster mentioned, $200 OBC would be the last influencing factor when booking a future cruise. The rates and everything else is more important.

My husband has this same offer and we are considering it too!! Ugh, tough choices. We are trying to figure out when to fit another cruise in. 😀

I say go for it if you can! It's a great deal and there are many sailings to choose from!

You didn't say specifically but it sounds like maybe the casino offer?  You pay a $200 deposit and then you get $200 OBC (plus usually some FunPlay) and you end up paying just taxes and port fees for the room?

I hate passing up offers like that (mine is also on sailings through May 2023 but expires on 7/5).  Among other things, airfare is pretty unpredictable right now.  So sadly, I think I'm going to let mine expire, and hope to get another offer in the future.

Celebration 5-14 5 days or Glory 7 days  but we didn’t gamble much

Another thing to consider is that those offers are capacity controlled and you may not find anything you like. Best to respond quickly to those offers.

Good points! A few good rooms and it’s next year!

Any other opinions? Thanks

Honest opinions? Don't rush to book or worry because in my opinion the cruises you posted and prices don't seem like real deals to me at all even with the $200 OBC. I've only sailed Carnival three times and get offers weekly including just now for $500 OBC and I don't gamble at all. Take it with a grain of salt though....

Ok thanks! $500 is a great offer! And you don’t gamble?

The OBC and low rate influenced our decision to book a B2B.  We had the first leg of the cruise already booked. We already have the Emed test kits and the travel plans in place for the first leg, too.  So, there will not be a double cost for travel and testing.  The OBC helped offset the newly increased price of Cheers.

What did you book? Thanks!

Just booked Glory with a casino offer - 7 days, we booked interior for $100pp plus $200 OBC - so basically no room charge - PLUS drinks included everywhere on board.  Too good of a deal to pass up!  Same booking dates as yours.  I did price out the balcony though and it was $1100, so $1900 seems like you might be able to get something better if you wait it out a bit.  Most of my good offers are casino offers though, I don't pay much attention to non-casino offers much, and that offer might be really great.

Love New Orleans! We have been on both of the ships. Looking at one for next fall out of there. Wish they would get different ships!

Glory was our first ship and I'm so excited to sail on her again!  I actually love that ship.  (One and only time I hit a slot mid jackpot too - so I'm looking for that lucky machine again lol).
