Check in (and get boarding time) - App or Website?

Is checkin only available on the APP or can I do it on the website instead?

You can use either, however if you use the app, you can jump on 45 days out (if it's working properly) and grab your arrival time and worry about everything else later. If the arrival time is important to you.

If you use the website, you need to enter more stuff before it will let you choose an arrival time.

Glad to help. Just be aware the app is... ummm... unreliable at best, which is why I said "if it's working properly."

It worked fine for my 5/29 Harmony cruise, checked in 45 days out. For my Indy B2B next month, nothing on the app whatsoever for 3 days and could only enter certain things via the website. Couldn't select an arrival time via either method for those 3 days.

I JUST did this today, 45 days out.  I tried the app...no go.  It said it was still gathering information.  I went through the website and it worked like a charm.  You need your birth certificate or passport id.

Definitely go through the website!

Well sure, if the app isn't working.

What time does check in start (midnight EST, PST, 9 am somewhere. etc)?

midnight EST.  I checked in at 12:04am today.  I tried the app first, no go.  I went to the website, and viola!

so if the app is hit or miss, it's easier to just use the website.

If that's your preference, go for it.

When working, I find the app to be much quicker.

Actually EDT, if cruising during daylight saving time.

If you are using the website and it needs more info it can always be edited later .  I just put in birth cert for id and when my new passport gets here I will edit it  I seem to always have trouble with the app

When I was doing the check-in, one of the things was the check-in time. I took the first time available, whch was 12:00 to 12:30. They had said on the site that I would be e-mailed when check-in was available, but I was not e-mailed and just stumbled on it after logging in.

What has been the earliest check in times (we are on a cruise out of Port Canaveral)?

It has been 11:00am when check-in opens but then 10:30am became available a few days later for all my cruises this summer. Don't ask me why 10:30 wasn't there from the start.

All above info was from PC.

Yes, that would be more accurate.  I thought EST was eastern standard time?  but yes that's correct!

When I checked in for Harmony for a May cruise it was 11am. I checked in 2 weeks ago0 for Mariner and it was 10:30am.

Yes, EST is eastern standard time.  It is what is used when we're not in daylight saving time.

EST = Eastern Standard Time

EDT = Eastern Daylight Time

Only one is in effect at any given time.

I would agree with that.  it wasn't dependable today.

You can check in 45 days prior to your sailing at midnight local time for the port you are sailing from.  App or website is a personal choice.  I used website and was done in less than a minute.  10:30am was the earliest time that I could choose to arrive at that port.

It was a joke. Sorry. I was saying it's never dependable. Happy planning!

I'm multitasking at work.  LOL!  I get it now!  You too!
