Check in (and get boarding time) - App or Website?

Everyone, including my brother who was linked to my reservation in a separate cabin, booked on his own.

I used the app a week ago and it worked very well. Set my alarm for 11:58pm. Got on the app and refreshed a few times.  The check in opened around 12:02 and I was able to skip right to the check in time for all of the people linked to my reservation.  I was back asleep a few minutes later.  The next day I scanned passports and I already have my passes in the wallet of my iPhone. 
 

I am surprised that there was a 10am check in time available, which is what I took.  It would be nice but I have doubts that we will board that early.

Have they changed the on line check in so that you can now upload your vaccine certificates.  I know that before those could only be uploaded via the app

Is boarding time enforced on Royal?  I've sailed two post-restart cruises on NCL and Princess and it was chaos at embarcation as no one was verifying check in time.

Checked in this morning on the app and there was no place to enter my passport info.  Went back to the laptop and entered all that in.

It varies by port and even sailing.

No you can't upload them on the laptop.
