Harriet75C Posted July 3, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 3, 2022 Are you allowed to bring your own skates for the skating, or do you have to use ship skates?
Surfguyxxx Posted July 3, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 3, 2022 Interesting question; I for one wouldn't want to lug a pair of skates around but....in 2013 this question was answered on CC. https://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/topic/1694924-can-you-bring-your-own-ice-skates-on-board/#:~:text=Yes%2C you can bring your,if they are offering it. ATSEAMYLIFE Posted July 3, 2022 #3 Share Posted July 3, 2022 Do you have to make RSVP to ice skate or can you just show up?

Availability and booking process may vary by ship - you could show up but the session might be sold out.
Rare brillohead Posted July 3, 2022 #5 Share Posted July 3, 2022 You can bring your own skates. Public skating is usually offered in 30-minute segments once or twice per cruise, on a first-come basis. Long pants are required to be worn on the ice, and no "figure skating" (fancy moves/spins/jumps) allowed.

We were surprised how many open skating sessions there were...and if there weren't enough skaters they could continue into the next session this happened often. Rare Itchy&Scratchy Posted July 3, 2022 #7 Share Posted July 3, 2022 but you must still wear a helmet... If you don't bring your own, you will have to use theirs. But - yes, you can bring your skates.
