What does 'RARE' mean?

It is the irrelevant word that the mods have put on people who write "LIVE" threads.

Irrelevant 🤔

It is fairly accurate. We are a 'rare' breed😁

And FWIW, Live reviews are a cheap way to generate content and drive repeat visits to the site. Makes sense that CC woukd encourage them

Wow, sensitive much?  Unbunch those panties, John.

I happen to think that "rare" is an odd choice, if they want to somehow highlight a poster who writes LIVE threads.

The word "LIVE", comes to mind, for example.

Oh .. ok thanks ... and I agree with you -- very odd choice of word for it.    "LIVE" would have been 100x better and more obvious about what it meant.

How is that post portraying my panties in a twist. I used a smilley emoji.😉

You seem to think I care. 🤔

Sweet, but mistaken.

Have they stopped giving posters this banner as I saw a recent live review and the person never received the "Rare" banner?

It's a manual process.

I guess they're to busy cleaning up threads 🤷

Here's the last Live review listed in the Live Reviews summary sheet.

Now keep in mind, a Live review is different than one done after the fact.

Not everyone that does a live review gets the banner. Not sure how they decide who gets it and who doesn't.

That's correct. I don't do reviews while I'm on a cruise.

Vast majority don't.  It requires an internet pkg and a commitment to see it through

My original ones were in the D+ days with only 4 days of internet

When is your next one? I may do Voyager in August.

We were on the maiden voyage of the Wonder in March to E Caribbean. Then the NCL Encore in April to E Caribbean. We were on the Quantum May/June to Alaska (pre-fire and engine trouble) in a Sky Loft which was really nice for Alaska. Next cruise is on NCL in a 2BR Haven suite to W Caribbean. And a Bermuda cruise after that.... our last two Bermuda cruises ended up being New England cruises to avoid "tropical disturbances", so we're hoping to get there this time. Looking at another W Caribbean to round out the year.

I might do Bermuda on Mariner. Never been before.

Starting to limit the Live reviews to unique voyages
