Radiance - Jr Suite to Grand or other Suite - worth it?

So Royal Up is open for my Alaska cruise in Sept.

We are in a Jr. Suite already (wife has to have a tub 🙃).

 

I know the Jr doesn't come with any perks but I am not convinced the perks of upgrading are worth it.  If the cheapest offer is accepted to go Grand Suite that's another $1000 (anything nicer is more Royal is another $3000 and no way I would do that unless I hit the lottery, lol)

We love grand suites but really not many perks on this ships class, breakfast in specialty, free drinks in suite or concierge lounge , concierge can help with any problems.

The only way I would consider an additional $1K for the grand is if the free drinks in the suite lounge appeal enough to cancel my deluxe beverage package and I think I might actually use the free room service for meals from the MDR.

and free drinks in Suite/Concierge Lounge are from 4:30 - 8:00 or 5:00 - 8:30.

Thanks everyone.  We are not drinkers so not doing the DBP.  We just have the refreshment package for wife and soda package for me.

 

Sounds like my assumption was correct that its not worth the extra $$ for us.

Not worth it on Radiance. 
On an Oasis or Quantum class it might be with free internet and Coastal Kitchen included, but not Radiance.

Agree...would not be worth it for me.   And don't intend on trying to upgrade for our next booked JS cabins on the lovely Radiance ladies.  

 

That extra $$ sure can buy a lot of drinks.  😉

Ok,.My rule of thumb for purchases like this is YES if your net worth is over $3million and your disposable income after all monthly living is expenses is more than $5K per month.  That is my rule, and thankfully I can do this, but I often don't.  I have sometimes, but normally it is not worth it and seems a bit snobby.  That is just me.
