Rare puppycanducruise Posted August 8, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 8, 2022 Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet and Daily Report. Happy Monday! It's warm and we have a light rain shower, Bertie and I will go for a walk a little later this morning. I know a lot of our Daily family will love Cat Day! I wouldn't mind a zucchini. Interesting quote. The meal sounds good, love a stir fry. Looking forward to reading about the drink and the wine. Prayers for everyone. Have a wonderful day. Stay safe. 25

dfish Posted August 8, 2022 #9 Share Posted August 8, 2022 Good morning, everyone. Today will be another beautiful summer day here in northeast Ohio. Temps are supposed to moderate a little today. I'm doing laps this morning with the pool scheduled for later in the day. Today's meal is a wonderful one. Stir fry is so versatile. Use what you like, leave out what you don't. Chicken is a great choice, but you could also use pork, beef, and even shrimp. When it comes to stir fry, the recipes are suggestions. Technically to be a stir fry you need high heat and at least one vegetable. Because of the high heat, you have to stir a lot. Hence, stir fry. Our first recipe calls for a sauce made from honey, soy sauce, and toasted sesame oil. https://www.momontimeout.com/easy-chicken-stir-fry-recipe/ When making the stir fry you want to remove the chicken from the pan after you cook it. This will help you avoid having tough chewy meat in the stir fry from over cooking. Add it back in with the sauce at the end. https://natashaskitchen.com/chicken-stir-fry-recipe/ This next one is for garlic lovers. There are a lot of suggestions for substitutions here. https://www.dinneratthezoo.com/honey-garlic-chicken-stir-fry/ This last one is a simple recipe with just chicken and green beans, but feel free to add in other veggies. The technique here produces crispy chicken by dredging it in a little cornstarch. https://themodernproper.com/crispy-chicken-stir-fry Stir fry is such a great idea! It is healthy and ready in 30 minutes. Go for it! Wishing everyone a wonderful day. 24

marshhawk Posted August 8, 2022 #15 Share Posted August 8, 2022 Happy Monday morning Dailyites! I love the fact that there is an International Cat Day, not sure about celebrating closing date on the summer Olympics, as that happens every 4 years, just not this year, and no one in this neighborhood is going to sneak anything on this porch, or any porch.... off your porch yes, on? not so much. I had a very nice afternoon yesterday, I called Penny, who has the new pool, and asked myself over-she said I could come over anytime, I took her up on it. It was cloudy, and not too hot, and we just got on the floats and the two of us floated around. And talked. Yesterday was a day when I needed to listen and let her talk. Her hubby went in the house (he doesnt get in the pool) and it was girl friend time for 3 hours. This is something that I really missed over the last two + years. Plans for today, get that hair cut after I tried and failed. Grab some lunch and work. We were contemplating a walk, not sure if DH is going to want to do that, but he needs to. I think I told him i was cancelling the plans for a walk because of all the other stuff we need to get done. I think i will let him sleep, since the pain in his mouth is back, and sleep is his only respite. 26
cat shepard Posted August 8, 2022 #16 Share Posted August 8, 2022 Thank you for today’s Report & Daily, Rich! The sun is just breaking through the marine layer. It was lovely walking this morning. Thank you for keeping our lists, Roy! Morning Dailyites! A couple of gym classes, house cleaning, Bindi walks and laundry topped off by some pool time will fill my day. I hope someone leaves some zucchini on my porch. Love it as zoodles, stuffed, grilled, sautéed… Appropriate for today… Prayers for all who need our support. Cheers to all who are celebrating! Stay well everyone! ********* Kaapzicht 2017 Steytler Pentagon Estate Wine This bold South African red blend needs to breath, if served now. I would love a taste. It is a bit elusive. 4966and556 Posted August 8, 2022 #19 Share Posted August 8, 2022 Thank you for the Daily Fleet Report! We used to take our extra zucchinis, tomatoes, etc. and leave them on our neighbour's hot tub lid, but not any more as they complained last year. 3 vegetarians live in that house. I'm quite certain that if cats could talk, they would tell you that every day is cat day. My husband told me that 1 of our cats already had her daily mouse breakfast today. The other cat joins in the hunt and the chase, but let's the tuxedo cat finish it off. We have farm fields all around us, so plenty of mice outside.

Rare MISTER 67 Posted August 8, 2022 #21 Share Posted August 8, 2022 Good morning from beautiful Key West Florida. Day 2 on our Western Caribbean cruise on the Equinox. 2,300 on board. So far everything has been great. Embarkation was a breeze, meals have been very good. Great show last night with a group called the Company Men who sang songs from Motown to oldies rock and roll. Looking forward to tonight’s show which will have a lady vocalist featuring Whitney Houston songs. Speciality restaurants are getting pretty pricey with Murano now charging 60 dollars per person. You can get a package for 179 dollars for 4 specialty restaurants which is a more reasonable but we’ve been on this ship 4 times and the food in the MDR has always been very good. We are at sea tomorrow and Grand Cayman on Wednesday. Thanks for The Daily, stay well and have a great day. 30

Absolutely wonderful considering the feels like temperature was about 104f. Sitting here this morning listening to the rain on the roof. We hope it continues at this pace for most of the day. We are so dry and our farmers really need the rain. quiet week ahead. Dh has an appointment with an eye specialist regarding cataract surgery. prayers for those that need them, celebration later for all celebrating.
smitty34877 Posted August 8, 2022 #23 Share Posted August 8, 2022 Good morning. The humidity and temperature were the same at six am. Our teenage dog walker said that his charges were not inspired for great distances. I salute cats and zucchini ,like the quote and have not been to Indonesia.Yesterday I made the salmon and spinach recipe and everyone liked it. It looks as if we have all recovered our appetites again. Today’s recipes look yummy but I would have to make a grocery store trip.
