robc1972 Posted September 2, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2022 Where are people getting their rapid tests done these days? Not a single CVS or Walgreens anywhere near us are doing them anymore. We are going to Bermuda next month and they say that we need to PCR 4 days before but Royal website says 2 days. Given our PCR testing background with CVS and them being late with results all the time we arent too optimistic that we will get our results on time to sail. You can do an Antigen test and do it online. There are a number of companies that offer on line testing. We used EMed and had great results. You simply establish an on line connection with the monitor, and they walk you through the test. Results are immediate and an email with all the required info is sent within minutes. If you choose to do an on line test, watch a few Youtube videos of the process so you are familiar with what order, etc. the test goes and how to set up your Phone/Tablet/Computer so the camera is set correctly. broadwaybaby123 Posted September 3, 2022 #4 Share Posted September 3, 2022 My mom works at a hospital with an on-site testing lab. We go as a family and get them done there. All we have to do is tell our respective docs that we need a test for travel and the orders are sent right there.
mets07 Posted September 3, 2022 #5 Share Posted September 3, 2022 We just went to Bermuda on Adventure. The Antigen test is needed within 2 days prior. So if you leave on Saturday, can be done Thursday, Friday, or technically early Saturday. We were able to get it done at a CVS drive-thru (however you are correct it is getting more difficult to get these appointments). On a previous cruise we self-tested using an online proctor and that worked fine. We used Rapid Test and Trace. Enjoy your cruise.
davekathy Posted September 3, 2022 #6 Share Posted September 3, 2022 Getting our pre cruise covid tests at our doctors office. My health insurance covers 100% of the cost. Just wish this pre cruise testing would end.
Mikewa Posted September 3, 2022 #7 Share Posted September 3, 2022 We did a local Urgent Care facility - results in 15 minutes. But it may cost you depending on your insurance, but it was easy and we just walked in, no appointment.
