Looking to book the  MERAVIGLIA for a week in January

Was wondering which deck is best out of 8-9-10 balcony.
Deluxe balcony -Fantastica
also what’s the difference with deluxe balcony  and premium ocean view balcony 10-13-14 ?

thanks. Trying to book this for the sale.

The deck is personal preference, decks 8-9-10 are all stateroom decks.

Premium Balcony with ocean view has larger size balcony and is in aft location.

I’ve never cruised on msc.    When you say all stateroom decks that just means that no restaurant or other type on those decks?
Wouldn’t all balcony’s be ocean view?

I prefer midship balcony.  So 8-9-10 should be a-good choice?

Yes, no restaurants or other facilities are on decks 8-9-10 .

Deck 8 has midship some Deluxe Balcony Partial View cabins.

I would choose Fantastica Experience Deluxe Balcony on deck 10 starboard (starboard: facing Ocean Cay Bahamas private island).

Thank you for the helpful info.
I’ll book it in the morning.
and you say starboard   Must be a nice view.   Sounds good to me.

my first MSC cruise.   Putting this cruise in the middle of a 29 day cruise.

15 day NCL Panama.
then msc 7 days.
then on the wonder RC for 7 days.

Was gonna do 8 days in florida.  But for the price of the msc why not.     Only. 830.00 for solo

thanks again.

only thing left on 10 are aft cabins.
All that’s left mid are 8-9.   I’ve added a few pics.   Thinking about the one on 9 circled.
Any thoughts

Cabin 9164 is a good choice..

deck 9 , midship starboard ,

not far from elevators and staircases ,

very close to panoramic elevator.

It’s a good combination of Fantastica Experience, Deluxe Balcony Category and location of stateroom.

MSC Meraviglia is a beautiful ship with elegant, yet casual atmosphere.

Sail with an open mind, enjoy mingling with international passengers and have fun on your first cruise with MSC.

Thank you very much.  Very much appreciated

I also picked that room because its on the bump out.
and yes I liked the the panoramic elevator.     And think it’s an even slit up and down for food and activities.

I travel solo all the time and I usually always have a great time.
always go in this with an open mind. And for sure love chatting with people from all over the world.   That’s why I travel lol.
In 2017 I went to 9 countries 18 cities in 12 days. 3300 miles on a bus.
with the same 46 people the entire way from all over the world. Literally.
it was a blast.

So this is why this excites me.     And I’m Italian.   And love a good pizza.  Lololol.
thank you again.  Booking now.

Even if it says no midship cabins are available on deck 10, book it then call and ask. I wanted an aft facing cabin on Deck 10, but they did not show available online. I was able to call and they switched me to an aft facing cabin on deck 10 at the same price.

Thank you for the advice.

I’m very happy with my cabin choice at this point.

think this cabin class came with 200 obc too.  That will be nice

and now to pic what to do in these ports.

Great! We got the same $200 OBC. We're going in January on the 4 night.

We also just booked the Meraviglia but for Oct. 2023 from NY.  Picked 10246 Starboard Fantastica.  This will also be our first time on MSC.  We were supposed to go on the Fantasia last April but it was cancelled by MSC and was replaced with the Musical and different date so we had to cancel.  Hope nothing goes wrong with this reservation because it is very far out but we liked the itinerary and no plane to catch.  We got a voyagers discount but no OBC.  Hoping to apply for a health care workers discount too.

All booked and talked to customer service for status match from my RC loyalty points.
great conversation and direction to get the form filled out.

Side note.  Got my status match today.   Right up to Gold.   4300 away to next tier.

Great information.  I am in process of booking the Mervaglia as well so this is all helpful.  Just submitted the online status match form for Carnival Platinum and want to make sure that goes through before proceeding and see where that maps to the Voyager tiers.  It does appear that I can't setup a Voyager account if I have not sailed MSC before or have an active booking?

I had the same problem not being able to set up an account.
And now I booked and then got my status match.    I doubt they’ll give me my 5% discount after I’ve booked.

oh well. All good.

I don't think that is true.  For my first MSC booking (that was cancelled) it took about 6 weeks and several requests until I got my status match.  I then informed my TA and she got me the reduced price.

Believe it or not.  I took under 2 days to get my request done.

I am seeing 8170 available.  Are those balconies slightly deeper than deck 9 and 10.  It is the corner balcony on the bump out, so I. like the idea of that.  But, what is under that on Deck 7.  Does anybody have any idea if there will be crew or machinery noise from below?

It’s difficult to identify by looking at photos from the internet.. but I guess it’s some kind of life-saving equipment .. maybe Inflatable Life Rafts ?
