Symphony of the seas emergency 9/14

I’m sailing on this ship right now and heard that a 2 year old fell off a balcony. Not sure but I’m praying for the family. Was curious to know has anyone else hear this?

My sister is sailing right now on that ship and she was wondering why you were still in port.  I pray for the family.

My sister is going up top to check out what happened.  They are portside balcony but because the ship is backed in they are on the opposite side.

I cruise quite a bit and never been on a ship that’s turned around like this. My balcony faces the dock and after waiting for an ambulance (per captain), a black SUV pulled up on the dock. Maybe they called a transport company instead after delays? Woman carrying a baby walked off with a few other passengers and promptly left. Second van followed with luggage, stroller, etc. 

 

Hope all is well for family and child and this is no more than extra caution.

As anyone who has cruised knows, it's very, very difficult to fall off a balcony for an adult, none the less a two year old.

Ok, I found out what happened.  A child had a seizure and the mother fainted.  The ship is still in port.

As the mother of an epileptic, i can imagine the mom’s stress.  Watching your child seize is a nightmare, especially when the child is so young.

Not that a child having a seizure is a good thing, but it's much better than the falling from the balcony!  Prayers for that family!

I was on the Sept 10th sailing and I was told by a fellow passenger on board that the child passed away. I hope that was a rumor. I never heard the balcony fall rumor while on the ship.
