No,,,, on sea days, Wasabi opens for lunch. That's where we eat. 

 

And the Ocean Blue takeout window opens (we sometimes get lobster rolls).

I remember way back they would have huge BBQ grills out on the Lido deck cooking up all kinds of things, burgers, hot dogs, ribs, chicken, rice, etc. on embarkation day.

They used real charcoal, it was so good and so much fun.

They do it on small ships. None of the bigger ships like the Getaway.

The Jewel class ships still have the grill right next to Topsiders Bar near the pool. In those ships, the outdoor part of the Garden Cafe buffet is all the way aft.

 

The Breakaway ships have the outdoor part of the Garden Cafe between the enclosed Garden Cafe and the pool, so while it's not RIGHT NEXT TO the pool, it's close enough that you can sit there and enjoy hearing the embarkation/sailaway party.
