NavyCruiser Posted September 19, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2022 Our group of 12 will be on Ruby Princess soon. What's the largest round table available in MDR, that may accommodate us 12...? Thanks
skynight Posted September 19, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2022 Largest table I have seen is a table for 10, and only a few of them. It is not round but oval. It isn't very comfortable to sit around, crowded, especially at the ends. You can only hold conversations with the few people next to you. Service is slow. Waiters generally wait until everyone at the table has finished the served course. One slow eater can slow up the entire table. Would suggest that you get two tables for 6. Once on board ask the head waiter to place your tables next to each other. Each evening you can switch people around if you like. 4

Then people can move around if they want on different nights.

We've been next to large tables and for one person to speak with someone at the other end of the table, it's so loud and disturbing for other diners in the general area. 2 tables of 6 are so much better.
Bemidji Ty Posted September 20, 2022 #7 Share Posted September 20, 2022 We did that a few years back with a group of 12 friends. We got 2 tables for 6 and decided we would change seats every night. Worked out fine. Cheers.

It seems to make conversation among the group easier.
wineforhealth Posted September 20, 2022 #9 Share Posted September 20, 2022 I was on the Ruby in 2015 and had a table for 12. It worked well for us but as others here stated your service will be slower.
