Even when Premiers offered "Priority" boarding, there was a separate waiting area in the terminal and it was after Weddings/Diamonds/Plats.  They were not in the P/D waiting area.  600 casino platers wouldn't fit.  It was (and will be again) a common question/statement of how everyone with a Plat or Diamond card could bring a dozen of their closest friends with them.

Every premiere we have been on before turning plat (pre covid) we were sitting with all the Diamond/Plat people. This was Port Canaveral and Miami. We did board after them (before faster to fun) but always sat together. Maybe it was different at times but that wasn't our experience.

Not in Miami, the Captain's Club was just big enough for about 50 people.  That is where the goodies were kept.  The "overflow" area  in the main terminal you may have been near.

The pics below are the Captains Club  in Miami, way more than 50 seats.

The lounge was closed when I was there in Feb

Ok well it wasn’t closed in April because we cruised on the Magic in April of this year. I know for a fact because I was wearing a boot on my foot after surgery and was sitting upstairs with other D and P’s and some people in wheelchairs and on scooters.

I just got confirmation from a Diamond cruiser on the Mardi Gras today that the priority check in is in the line that currently says Suites. She said they are still working on the changes and the signage is being sorted.  Suites and Diamonds go to the “Captains Lounge” as it’s called now instead of the Suites Lounge. The Platinum card holders  sat outside but in a roped off area close the the Captains Lounge. I guess it depends on how many D and P card holders there are on each cruise. They board Suites and Diamonds, followed by Platinum then after that they call out the boarding zones. No word on luggage priority yet.
Well, at least we know Port Canaveral has figured most of it out now. Hopefully the other ports have also.

So do Diamond and Platinum board before Suites? Or Suites before Diamond and Platinum?  Or is it just based on boarding zones? Because it seems like I have experienced all three at one point or another...

So  I can only tell you what happened today at Terminal 3 Port Canaveral for the Mardi Gras. Maybe next week when we board it will be different. Who knows? It was Diamonds and Suites first, then Platinums, then boarding by zones.

I noticed the "**" next to priority benefits on "my benefits" section on Carnival site are gone too. The stars remain for the casino benefits though. Glad things are getting back to more normal than not.

Selfishly I hope they keep the $25 funplay instead of the tournament entries.

Yes, it was Miami. We had some of the cookies and water that was out. The room had more than 50 seats (not sure how many to be honest) and people were standing everywhere.

A couple of weeks ago leaving Miami there was no special place for anyone and they called Diamond, Platinum and then suites. Before we were even at the top of the escalator they were already on zone A03.

John mentioned that suites would be after D and P, but I'm not sure the information has gotten out to all the employees yet.  There were several out of N.O. that said it was still suites first, then was based on zone number diamond 1, platinum 1, diamond 2, platinum 2, etc...

What is the $25 funplay you speak of???  Was on a cruise last month and since there was no slot tournament, I didn't give it any more thought.  Is this free money to play with??
