Grand Cru Posted November 2, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2022 We are sailing on Journey at the end of this month, is it correct that I can only book the specialty restaurants onboard, we live in the UK so I am not phoning Azamara In the US, any help would be appreciated. Wondermouse Posted November 2, 2022 #3 Share Posted November 2, 2022 Is it better to buy the packages prior to boarding, or on the ship?

On our cruise, seats at the French and Italian chef's table sold out in minutes after 2pm boarding started; and there was so little interest in the Middle East chef's table that they cancelled it quickly. That meant there was no way to use the 3-night package even if you had signed up at 2:00. [They later added second nights for French and Italian, but there never was a third menu on that cruise.]

Lazy Sailor Posted November 3, 2022 #7 Share Posted November 3, 2022 Not sure which packages people are referring too , but we have found that buying all packages before sailing to be much better - https://www.azamara.co.uk/booked-guests/onboard-packages/specialty-dining-packages Of course, bookings for dining day and time must be made on board. Also, for UK based cruisers, although packages are priced in $ you may get a better $/£ exchange rate buying packages before hand - when we bought an onboard package in September for a December cruise, we got an excellent rate - even though the pound was tanking at the time.
