In Bilbao - I booked a tour through Spain Day Tours: https://www.spaindaytours.com/spain-shore-excursions/bilbao-shore-excursion/  We had 14 individuals on a full coach. We got a great overview of the city plus into Guggenheim museum. Our guide guided us through 2 floors (1st and 3rd) and then we had free time to go through the 2nd floor and any other area we wanted to go visit.

I should add that our weather in Bilbao and La Coruna was probably 70 degrees and sunny. Perfect weather!

We stopped by a newer stadium. The pics of the interior were from a restaurant inside. It was a bathroom and drink break:

This Guggenheim museum is a very modern museum which usually I am not into but I really enjoyed this. There were some things that just looked weird. Here is something one could walk through and then an aerial view:

Some more random inside pics of the structure of the museum and some art. The white weird nylon looking thing - people were going inside it. I don't know what happened when you were inside it but there was a line of kids who wanted in it:

Thanks for sharing the information about the D-Day tour.  We are going on a British Isles cruise next June and the Princess version has been sold out since we booked.  Mike's tour is booked but he did recommend a couple of others that I plan to check out.

He once worked for a larger company and now on his own. All the guides seem to know each other and are all genuinely friendly towards each other.

Then our guide walked through the blue area. There are pics of viewing from the other side looking towards the museum:

I should say that we had no idea one could walk through the words. These pics are taken looking the other direction.

We encountered that in Kuala Lumpur at the Petronas Towers. I had never seen anything like it before.

ETA:  So happy for you that your weather has been amazing. My friends onboard with you keep remarking on it too. They do a lot of late season Med travel and TAs and they’ve never seen anything like it.

Rui is our favorite. He treated us better than family on the Emerald last October.

He treated my Mom really well (she was disabled) when we cruised on a B2B. I haven't encountered him on this ship yet. I am guessing he is in the other dining room. I will have to seek him out and thank him.

He is the best - he works all the rooms so you'll see him soon!

Alas, DH tested positive for COVID this morning. (I am still negative). He has a mild but persistent cough that started last night.

We have both had five shots, including the most recent Pfizer bivalent three weeks ago, plus flu shots.

And so our next trip begins, down to Aloha deck. I have opted to stay with him…my other choice was to stay in my cabin, but wear a mask at all times outside of it and no dining venues.

We have packed up what we need (most everything) for the next six days. The med guy was up to check hubby’s vitals (all normal). We are just awaiting the moving crew.

Hope to see Lisbon and the Azores on another trip!

So sorry, hope the symptoms remain mild.  We were in isolation on the Emerald this past February.  I hope they have improved their care of those in isolation since then.

Thanks!

Now in isolation on portside Aloha, and have ordered breakfast.

The good news is (for others, at least) is that there are only a handful, less than six, confirmed COVID cases down our hall, according to the crew member preparing the cabins.
The balconies are for the positive cases and the inside cabins are for “under investigation” cases…

I will say we noticed quite a bit more serious coughing over the past couple of days across the ship, so there may be other folks who didn’t bring along the self-tests and are just going to try to wait it out. (!)
Coral, we are looking forward to your photos from Lisbon!
