Desertliving Posted November 23, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2022 We will be cruising on the Princess Discovery next year and I am wondering if there is a way to tell which Mini Suites have larger balconies?

Cruisedeckplans.com has complete deckplans for the Discovery and all the others. Also, the front-facing cabins on Lido and Marina have larger balconies, although those come with considerable wind and steel instead of glass for the guardrail fronts. Front corner CC minis on Marina have enormous balconies that extend out over the bridge.

Not very many. Look at midship. https://www.princess.com/deckPlans.do?shipCode=XP

Wishing on a star Posted November 23, 2022 #5 Share Posted November 23, 2022 Yes, mid-ship, with the angled balconies. If you don't absolutely have to have the mini, then look at Premium Deluxe Balconies. You will find these on the Aft wake-view cabins. And, on Deck 9. On the mid-ship mini suites, be aware that you might not want to be on a higher deck, with the overhand and the Sea Walk just above you. On the Aft wake-view cabins, note that the balconies on some decks are larger than the balconies on other decks. As always, be aware of what is just above or below the cabin. Happy Planning! If I'm not mistaken, these would have to be Club Class Mini-suites (mid-ship).
DJSOX Posted November 23, 2022 #7 Share Posted November 23, 2022 We usually book R415, large balcony, not a club class mini! So the large balconies are not necessarily club-class.
Wishing on a star Posted November 24, 2022 #8 Share Posted November 24, 2022 Some are Club Class, and some are not. If this poster is booking for next year, and sees one of these Minisuites that they like, and that is club class or not, I would suggest that they book that cabin while available. The number of these with larger balconies is limited!
suekel Posted November 24, 2022 #9 Share Posted November 24, 2022 If the discovery is like the enchanted, the cabins at the very back of Dolphin have larger balconies.

BTW- you are on the Discovery Princess, not Princess Discovery. I know you are a newbie.
