Does the ship dock on the Starboard side or Port side?

 

Trying to decide on a cabin with the view of the port when we dock.

Oasis class ships prefer docking starboard side. Good bet for those two ports.

No side by side docking in those ports.

A few weeks ago on Allure we backed in to the old cargo port adjacent to the normal port (starboard side).  Larger ships can't fit between the reef and port in Aruba.  Curacao was port side at the farther out pier.  New Norwegian ship had the closer in dock.  Both locations had shuttles running to the main dock entry but it was faster to walk.

WE also backed in on our Odyssey Thanksgiving week cruise in Aruba. Curacao was Port side

Don't decide based on the possible way the ship ties up - it could be the other way on your sailing.

On both of these ports in March RCI seemed to dock farther away than past port stops there.

I was on Harmony this past week and for Aruba Curaçao and Labadee we were starboard side-viewing the islands.

Oasis class is designed to dock on the starboard side (and does not tender, only hard dock). That is the side with the escalator to the gangway.
