Quiet Places on Vision?

We impulsively booked a cruise, and after the fact, realized it is over Easter, so expecting there may be lots of families and children. Not to offend anyone, but we are empty nesters, and slower paced. For this reason we usually choose longer cruises and older ships that suit our style better. Unfortunately we did not check the calendar before booking, so we will make the best of it.

Where are some adult quiet places? I know the solarium, as well as the Viking lounge tend to be quiet. Any other public places?

Hello, we've been on Vision a few times, internally there is the Viking Crown, the solarium and also quiet spaces on the higher decks of the centrum where the library, the 'some enchanted' lounge was also quieter during the day.  Outside it is quieter towards the back of the ship as a lot of people tend to stay nearer to the bar or pool.

It was a trip on the otherwise lovely Vision a few years back that reminded me somebody in RCI HQ has been reading the studies that suggest people are happier, more productive and buy (a lot) more stuff with piped in music.  The Science of Muzak (skeptoid.com)  So it is everywhere.  The only reliable quiet places aboard based on recent experience on several ships - your cabin/balcony.  Promenade decks.  Once in a while Viking Crown.  On the Radiance and Grandeur, the music was good and loud in Solarium and a different feed was going in the pool deck.

We loved the aft lounge on deck six (Some Enchanted Evening Lounge).   Way in the back by the floor to ceiling windows, lots of comfy chairs....great mesmerizing view of the wake.  🙂
