How do you handle very long cruises on Celebrity?

We were finally able to do 26 days this past Oct/Nov. during our b2b/TA.  Honestly, I always thought that a world cruise would be heavenly, but five nights in Italy before the cruises, along with getting covid for five days of quarantine were perfect- not the covid, but having a lot of sea days made it quite easy.  Both of us decided that our next two cruises with 22 days should be about right.  We use the gym, except on port days, read, discover what is on all the decks and just try to enjoy each day stress free.  We have never had a cruise where we did not meet interesting cruisers!  We have a b2b2b/TP for 2024, but one cruise will be canceled, as we have been to NZ before on a hiking and land trip(our own) that was wonderful.  There is no way that almost 40 days at sea is something we now want to do.  So, thank goodness we found this out now than onboard, as we do want to spend time in Sydney. However, if we have to test for Covid on the cruise before the TP, I just might cancel!

Always want to make the most of expensive flights so B2B is my minimum.  Loved a 12 + 7 this summer on the Apex and would have gladly stayed longer.  We are taking advantage of Solstice pricing from Mexico this winter and sailing her - first time driving to port at a mere 6 hours.  But the long awaited is May with a 12 night TA, flight to Prague for land visit, train to Budapest for another land visit before boarding 15 day river cruise.  I love the relaxation of sea days and arriving in Europe without the jet lag.

I love your travelling but not so sure about your maths  ( sorry math ). Your daily figure is only achieved by excluding the amount you spend on gambling to get the Comped Cruises. If you included your gambling the figure would be way way higher especially as you must be paying the full price on Viking as they don't have casinos.

Believe it or not, I have received $35,000 worth of free cruises and have lost less than $4,000 total on all of my cruises.   I am not a big gambler at all.    Celebrity has been giving away cruises like crazy in rebound of covid.   Just need to be a member of Blue Chip Club and spend some time in the Casino.    The best deal on the seas!

I'm not criticizing, just honestly curious.  DH would love to convince me to sail longer periods of time but I'm not sure how I would handle it.  Feedback?

Sometimes it's just necessary.  We had an 86 night Australian tour booked in 2020 interrupted by Covid.  B2B2B2B2B2B.   It takes 24 hours to fly to Sydney and it's very expensive.  It's not something I would do for a 7 night cruise.

Our longest cruise was 11 days (Panama Canal).  I thought 11 days was a sweet spot for…then life happened.  Now, hubby’s health dictates we stay close to the US and the longest he wants to be on a ship now is 7 days.  We are just blessed to be able to cruise at all!
